Even the Carter Kids Fight Sometimes

When I was younger, I used to get into fights with my brother and sisters all the time. We used to say that we hated each other and we never wanted to talk to each other again. About 6 years ago, Nick and I got in a big fight. I squirted him in the head with a water gun and he started chasing me around, so I climbed up a tree. He couldn't get up the tree, so he couldn't get up the tree, so he grabbed a machete and tried to chop the tree down. And this was a big oak tree, like five feet in width. To this day, there is stilla big chunk taken out of that tree. But as much as we fight, I still love him and miss him, especially when I'm on the road.

The best time are when we're together, away from everyone and everything. Every once in a while, we ride ofn the golf cart and race around. NIck tells me to set up everybody's garabage cans and line them up like Bily Madison. when he takes the golf carter to the bowling pins. We called it "garbage bowling." Nick and I like to get creative. We invented a game called "bowie ball." It's kind of like basebal, but you take PVS pipe just about the lenght of a base ball bat and you take a crab bowie. You throw the bowie, then hit it with the pipe. We like to get into egg fights. A few months ago, Nick dressed me up in a wet suit and took me around on a golf cart and threw eggs at me. It was funny. But I got him just as bad. He was covered in yolk, too. We just fool around like brothers, you know.

With my sisters, its hard for me because I'm always away so much and I'm so small. If I tried to give them advise, I'd get punched in the face, thrown down on the ground or kicked in the butt. It's not so much from Nick. It's mostly from my sister Leslie. She's like , "I know what I'm doing. I have everything under control," She knows a lot. She says she doesn't want advice, but she really dos pay attention to it. HOw that I'm away from hom, I realized that your family is the only thing you really have and you should cherish them/

I think kids need to realize how important family is. And you don't really, not until you're not around them so much. Kids having trouble with their bbrothers or sisters need to just go away and stay away from them to blow off steam. What I like to do is climb up in trees, look at the ground and just get my thoughts together.
