HERMIT CRABS

These are very interesting reptiles.  Did you know they could talk ?  First time I heard a hermit crab screaming, I was really shocked.

Also, every four - five months,  Hermit Crabs form a new body, and push their aged skin and claws away, in order to bring their new body to surface.  This is why it was thought in the ancient times that reptiles were the key for reincarnation. Crab will go sort of hibernation for two days.  And slowly it will push its former body out of its shelf. Finally new body will surface. New body will be fresh, let's say there were claws broken, new claws will be brand new. And it will take a couple of days before new claws get tough and firm.

Hemit Crabs are born without any shelves, They will locate a sea shell's shelf and take it as a residence. This is a magic of nature.  Subsequently, every three months Hermit Crabs will move into a new shelf. As they get larger they will get into larger shelves. Do not pull a Hermit Carb off its shelf, it will choose to die instead of leaving its shelf.

They will eat just about anything.  Keep them humid, however do not leave them wet.  Too much humidity might develop warms inside their shelves, which will lead to their end.

If you get a Hermit Crab when it is really small, you could develop some sort of a communication between him and you. Hermit crabs are like people, some of them are shy, some of them are very friendly. You just gotta try.
