This story is about a girl name Suzuhara Misaki. Misaki's mother left her while she was in kindergarten and they never met again, until.. Anyway, not to spoil your serie. Misaki comes to Tokyo to go to school, but she then saw the Angelic Layer battle. She decides to make and angel of her own to battle. An angel is like a doll, except it can be used to battle when on a layer. She then goes out to buy the material to make her angel...

I think that the animation is pretty good. The charcters and setting seem pretty well too! (But you know, I always wonder why Misaki's bottom hair looks the way it does)

The opening and ending theme is done very well. It sounds very familiar to me but I can't quite remember. (It's probably just a resemblance but I really did hear something like it before.

I really enjoy this series. It is really fun to watch the Angelic Layer battles. You will find yourself glued to the TV when the battles begin! I recommend you watching this series.
