Poetry for and from the Heart

Ah poetry, there is some much of it in the world. In fact poetry is the text of the classic periods of history. Why am I saying this? I am trying to say poetry is awesome. Not awesome like some california surfer awesome, but AWESOME. Okay I've lost many people by now. Poetry is an underestimated literary device these days. Partially because of people like myself. I have zero talent and I actually suck at grammar skills. But I attempt to believe that I can be something.

Well maybe not something great. Here are heartsy type poems. Call them love poems or bits of infatuation. I hope you enjoy.

This poem was written in reference to a character from the japanese anime called Revolutionary Girl Utena. I wrote this from the perspective of Juri Arisugawa's character. I'm very fond of her torn story.

Cruel fate,
Why do you take me
so kindly?
Is my love for her
No brighter than
Any other man's
Can I not see her?
------------------
Know it be
I love thee
You are
My hurt
My angst
My love
------------------
Fall this, upon my heart
Gentle it beats for you

Genesis

Creation of you
For me, the awe
Of the magic

In you, I'm here
With me there is magic
There is forever

Seeing lovely you
I wish for you
To embrace me

Here are some sublinks to other poems that maybe of interest, but who knows. They may not be as interesting as I believe them to be. They are also born from the heart, but born from a pride that has died down in these last few years. Politics have put a smug mark on my country.
