Lesser Goldenbacked Woodpecker or Blackrumped Flameback

Our commonest woodpecker, found in gardens and groves.

The photograph is not of this species! It appears to be the Indian Three-toed Goldenbacked Woodpecker (Common Flameback), a bird of the Western Ghats. The differences are: the crimson streak visible on the back in the photo is missing in the Lesser, and the chin of the Lesser is all black (with white spots).
