How often should I change fluids?

If you don't drive your car very often, you shouldn't wait for 3,000 miles to change the oil.

All lubricating luids---brakes, transmission, crankcase---should be drained and replaced every 1-2 years, depending on type of fluid and where you live. In dry climates like California, you may be able to stretch it to two years, but remember that silicon brake fluid absorbs water.
