There's considerably more involved in the project than just swapping engines.
There are no major structural differences between a Mustang with a six-cylinder engine and a Mustang with a V8, so the engine can be dropped in and hooked up without major modifications. But there are differences in the drivetrain, suspension, and brakes.
Still, it's a popular modification and a frequent topic of discussion, as evidenced by the volume of message exchanges on Mustang discussion forums.
