Portraits

To achieve striking results for a portrait photograph adhere to following the tips:

1. Good natural diffused lighting. An overcast day or at dawn/dusk.

2. A lens between 80-100mm.

3. Focus on the subjects eyes. As it is the most important part of the photograph.

4. Shoot your subject from ribs upwards.

5. Avoid a detailed background (subject should be sharp and background out of focus).

6. If background is bright, think about using a flash to fill-in.
