Obedience and agility training

I have been taking Michael and Polly to obedience classes for about 5 years. My friends run
Delamere Dog Training club
so my humans like to socialise in between classes. I have been trained to an advanced level of obedience so they have the confidence to do the hours training without them being attatched to a lead. There are times when I don't do what I'm told just so they don't get too complacent. It's an outdoor training club and I love to eat the rabbit droppings on the field. I know it sounds disgusting but you've just got to try it!

BASIC COMMANDS
SIT = A chance to have a rest
STAND = I can show off my schnauzer stance
DOWN = A chance to eat rabbit muck
FLAT = Means you've to lie on your side and it's not as easy to eat rabbit muck
HEEL = Walking by your human
CLOSE = Walking so close to heel you trip up your humans
COME = Used as part of the recall, a good chance to beg for a biscuit

I have also completed 2 agility courses in which I came 2nd and 3rd. I love agility and can run really fast, leaving my humans behind shouting directions. At first I was scared of the 'A Frame', a big 6ft climb up and over. I fell off the first time I tried but thankfully Polly caught me, well more precisely I fell on her face and it cushioned the landing. It's been fine ever since as I've got every confidence that she would catch me again should the need arise. Occasionally I like to balance on the top for a while, to scare people, before running down.

It's a long way down Through the tyre

My favourite is the table as it's a chance to have a rest, and I love the tyre too. I also enjoy doing recalls over a long line of jumps. Sometimes I like to pretend I don't know what my humans are asking me to do. That's great fun as they show me by running over the course themselves. And they are supposed to be the superior race? Sometimes I despair. I am going to do a Flyball course next. The jumps are very small and I get to play with a tennis ball after I've jumped them. How easy that is going to be!
