February 8, 2008 Cleaner all the time

I'm no cleaning fanatic.  I don't faint at the sight of dust.  I have noticed something though each time my house is put back in order.  (We just finished remodeling the kitchen and putting in new carpet.  Talk about an upheaval!)  Once you get the basics going on a regular basis and then start working on your $35,000 list regularly, you will begin to see things you never would have noticed before.

Yestderday I was decluttering and organizing a huge plastic box.  I put the office trash can next to the box to make it handy for tossing.  As I pulled out the trash can I couldn't help noticing how dirty it was.  Since I had the rag and spray I'd used on the box, I went to work on the outside of the can.  I could have kept going to the inside of it too but I wanted to finish the box.  It was nice though to move one more thing to the cleaner side.

This isn't what I do all time but I do see more things that would make the house just a bit nicer.  In Japanese, the word for pretty and clean is the same.  Even if you can't decorate much right now, clean is pretty.

Blessings,

Aunti M.
