February 18, 2008 Breaking Down a Task
When you are ready to clean a whole room it can be overwhelming.  It's discouraging to look at all the STUFF and know you have to do something with it.



I have a corner of my bedroom that became clutter over the last few months because of the remodel.  It's now at the top of my $35,000 list.  Well not the whole thing.  First I've cleaned up the floor area.  (I got ot check that off my list on Friday.)  Next I'll empty a large basket that collected odds and ends.  (Scratch that off.)  Next on my list is to go through the memorabilia that has collect.   (My cedar chest is in that corner.  It holds the keepsakes.)  Last on my list is to clear off the sewing cabinet. 



I just do one thing at a time and not all of these are listed in a row on my paper.  I'm getting better and better at picking away at things.  As long as I keep up the basics and just do what is on my list, I progress without burning myself out.  I create good habits this way too!
