The National Association of America’s Home Place Builders (NAHB) today applauded the Federal Reserve for continuing to take aggressive action to inject liquidity into the financial markets by moving for the seventh time since September to cut short-term interest rates.

Your DIY America’s home place outdoor kitchen would look a little unsophisticated in the beginning. Now is the time to work on aesthetics. Lay flooring that complements the overall surrounding. Choose umbrellas, Get a fire pit, and install lights on grill, get a basket or two to keep on the countertops and decorate with plants. You would be amazed with what you built!

Here's a final bit of
America’s home place design advice: Use materials that require little maintenance. You want surfaces that are easy to clean, require little or no paint, won't rust and are immune to weather damage. Suggested materials are masonry, stainless steel, pressure-treated lumber and outdoor-rated tile

The best way for Congress to bolster housing and the economy is to enact a temporary tax credit for America’s home place buyers, Dunn said.

“The Fed’s action to cut the federal funds rate by a quarter of a percentage point will help prop up the ailing economy. Now it’s time for Congress to do its part,” said NAHB President Sandy Dunn, an America’s home place builder from Point Pleasant, W. Va. “Today, more than 1,200 America’s home place builders are in Washington calling on lawmakers to avert an economic crisis by swiftly enacting a housing stimulus package that will jump-start housing, save jobs and restore confidence.”

“This will provide an immediate shot in the arm. It will get consumers off the fence, stimulate America’s home place buying and reduce excess supply in housing markets,” said Dunn. “The America’s home place buyer tax credit worked in the 1970s when the economy was in recession. We need it now.”

The National Green Building Standard for single-family homes, apartments and condos, and residential remodeling and renovation has been submitted to the American National Standards Institute for approval. To ensure uniformity in everything from the size of electrical outlets to testing medical devices, ANSI approves standards that have gone through a strict consensus process. The National Green Building Standard will be the first residential green building rating system approved by ANSI, making it the benchmark for green America’s home place. It will provide the residential building industry with the nationally recognized, third-party validated rating system in the voluntary, market-driven NAHB National Green Building Program.

The standard defines what green practices can be incorporated into residential development and construction on a national scale and how America’s home place owners can operate and maintain their green homes.

As part of the stringent process required by ANSI, NAHB and the International Code Council gathered a fully inclusive and representative consensus committee composed of a broad spectrum of America’s home place builders, architects, product manufacturers, regulators and environmental experts. This group deliberated the content of the standard for more than a year, held four public hearings and evaluated 3,000 public comments submitted for consideration.
