| Yo! MacTV! |
![]() Golf on ABC I don't watch Golf. It's just a demonstration of what Mac TV can do. There's not many television shows on Sunday afternoon.
Apple Video Player Every Mac owner should know the application AppleCD AudioPlayer (exception: People who have never owned a Macintosh with a CD drive). Well, this is her sister application (yes, they share those weird window color options).
![]() Tennis on CBS Natasha now brandishes RCA plugs, S-Video, and a co-axial port. One day I may buy her a periphrial or two. The Video System shipped with Avid VideoShop, which works like an early version of iMovie. One day I may get a VCR, and then I could watch Ferris Bueller or Metropolis or ... dare I say it... The Hudsucker Proxy?!? (Natasha is cheering as I type this. Or maybe it's the tennis crowd). This hardware and software is five years old. Unfortionately, I realize it's no longer an OEM option with Apple. It's not an option elsewhere... which confuses me, because this is something appealing that would sell computers (and premium options). Where have we gone in five years? Colored plastics? I understand that some of the new iMacs have a DVD drive so you can watch DVD movies. I don't know about you, but I don't own any DVDs. It would be pretty cool if I could just watch TV... I will admit that Windows is on the same level as Macintoshes when I see a Windows machine turn itself on from a remote control, and turn itself off on a remote control. Oh, and mute and switch between documents and a large tv screen... Although full screen resolution isn't that spectacular. |
