| The Roof, The Roof, The Roof Is On Fire: They set out that day leaving the "ambasador" behind at the keep. Durring evening of the second day of travel they came across a house. As soon as they approached a flare went up, igniting a trail of gunpowder that led to 2 fire pits, illuminating the area around them. After that, 4 bats with bows came up from behind the building and started firing. Inocence shot his guns, Alak'i and Vanadar used their bows, Mother Tara began casting circle of protection and Spanky...remained concious. The party was then struck by a spell that rendered several of the group paralyzed (including Mother Tara, and Spanky the wonder ferret) Alak'i, in an amazing display of archery, spotted someone through a window that appeared to be casting and shot him. The spell dropped and the people who were paralyzed got to their feet. Vlad proceded to go after the bats in the air and took several hits, which Mother Tara managed to heal. Inocence got off a thunder clap (cracka-thoom) that blew the roof off the house and set it on fire killing most of those inside, he was quite proud of himself. Once what was left of the attackers had fled and the building had finished burning, the group searched the rubble. Vlad and Nargrim searched for shiny metal of value (nothing) while the rest of the group looked for evidence of Duke Antony. They found a body with most of the flesh burnt off and a silver neclace that Inocence confessed he reconized from when Antony had appeared to him in a dream. Vlad and Nargirm seemed a bit upset. Mother Tara and Alik'i insisted that they press on and finish off Antony's minions, not for one second beliving that Antony was really dead. Once again they were out voted by the rest of the party. Mother Tara did manage to score a small victory by convincing the group to bring back "Antony's" remains to be guarded by the church. Loss of Inocence: Once again part of the group was to impatient to wait for Mother Tara to finish with morning serveses at the local church. Inocence Spanky, Mother Tara sent Alak'i along to keep an eye on them in her absence. A few hours later Mother Tara, Vanadar, and Vlad came across a pile of unconcious bodies including that of a very large fox no one reconized. Vlad procedes to "trip" and "accidently" stab the fox in the throat. Because of Mother Tara's code against killing she casts a healing spell at the prone fox. He wakes up and Vlad quickly backs away. Tara then procedes to heal Alak'i, who regains conciousness and Spanky, who is a bit groggy but awake. Sedrick procedes to cast a spell at the fox who resists after a breif time. The fox looks angry as he sees Vlad backing up with a bloody dagger and appears to be thinking about throwing a tiger at him. Spanky sees this and says simply, "He's with us." Sedrick drops the spell. The party intorduces themselves to Jacques the fox. Alak'i gives Tara a breif synopsis of how it came to this point. 3 weasels and someone in a bush, attacked them, the weasled did an outright attack with knives and at least one person in the bushes with a bow. Spanky recounts the rest of the story because he, in a suprising turn of events, was the last one standing. The weasels, seeing Inocences gold plated chain mail and guns, see that this is one rich porcupine, it didn't help that Spanky made a comment that he was a baron. The weasels took Inocence for randsome and then knocked Spanky uncouncious. ...In the City: After several healing spells, courtsey of Mother Tara, and some medatating (to get back spell units) the group settled down for the night. The next day they headed for the main city (insert real name here) They were in 2 groups because Sedrick and Vlad didn't want to wait for Mother Tara to meaditate the rest of the group followed about an hour behind. All the remaining members, with the exception of Spanky, went to the church. Mother Tara made her report to her superior and requested aid in retreving Inocence since most of the group had been "relaved" of their money and weapens. He replied that he could not provide weapons to the group but suggested they try a noble house in exchange for a favor from Inocence. The group made their way to the Don's castle because he owed Inocence a favor. On the way there they met up with Sedrick. Jacques stopped at a bar with the intention of getting very drunk, and Mother Tara offered him a drink from her hip flask to calm his craving. He proceded to down the entire thing. Tara started whining at him to "Stop it!" the very same whine she uses when "urging" the group not to kill things. Vlad, who had been in the bar heard this and poked his head out. He was spotted by Vanadar and they proceded to the Don's castle. The group gave the Don a report of the goings on and requested aid, he refered them to a diffrent noble house who would be willing to do Inocence a favor and offered accomidations for the night. The next morning Tara got a note telling who, what, when, and where to meet. While waiting, Spanky showed up with Lady Inocence drapped over his arm (Spanky you player) He also had a bag of the groups belongings. While shopping with Lady Inocence they stumbled across Inocence's gold plated chain mail and varoius other familar items. The Lady used all her "charm" to aquire these at Spanky's request.
