Curiousity Killed the Cat!
Or did it?  Rather, in a turn-around this reporter finds absolutely mind-boggling, a strange, black-furred feline creature with very sharp jaws and very sharp teeth has been seen wandering the forests of Ayenee, hunting down and savagely mauling random passers by with no apparent rhyme or reason to it.

"That damn cat is going to pay!  I'd give my one good eye to anyone who manages to bring that thing down!"  A recent survivor of an attack by the beast was quoted as saying, his other eye having been torn out from it's socket in aforesaid encounter.  When this reporter mentioned that most of Ayenee wouldn't take bounties for the reward of a human eye, he responded with "Uh, well...  All my worldly possessions then, for the death of that beast!"

This reporter would like to note that, at last count, the man's worldly possessions seemed to be limited to several silver coins and a bottle of some alcoholic drink,
The nature of which he ceased to care about after it became apparent that the name included "Wyne" on it.

Several days later, tracking the creature (Curiousity_Kat) by word of mouth, and tales of it's victims, I invited a hired telepath who just seemed to be wandering by with no rhyme or reason to his actions to communicate with the beast.  The conversation between them revealed it to be highly intelligent, if somewhat overwhelmed by a bloodthirsty instinct.  It called itself "Curiousity" - apparently after the old axiom of "Curiousity killed the cat."

Other results from the mind-speaking were somewhat less clear, it seems to remember being in the company of a druid before it became as intelligent and bloodthirsty as it now is.  I've been told that some Shadow Druids (A sect of druids devoted to violently protecting nature, ousting civilization, and not caring about the damage they've done as long as nature is preserved in the end.  the ends justify the means) once performed a similar ritual on other wild animals in order to strike back at civilization, but even their kind eventually saw it as an abomination, and abandeoned the practice.
Nothing is impossible
In the land of Ayenee, it seems like anything can jump up at you out of the Blue.  Imagine my surprise when, not only do I come upon a wide, crystal-clear ocean out of nowhere, with no crashing waves, no brisk scent of salt in the air, NOTHING!  But I also see, off in the distance, an infinate staircase leading off to the gods only know where.  There's a great many places I know of it might have come from, or be going to (depends on your point of view see) - very few of them I'd really want to end up at, but what's life if you don't take a chance?  Besides, above the pristine waters, and adorned on both sides with garlands of flowers and other bright, planty things, it looked inviting.

Embarking up the steps, nothing seemed to tire me.  It was as though the stone itself was providing me the energy to reach the top, as if it wanted me to climb up into the clouds themselves, inviting, alluring, Obviously, this was a trap.  Yes, it was exilirating, but, just as a test, I turned around, and tried to walk back down.  The strength instantly left my legs, sapping the life out of me completely the opposite of the energy-gaining qualities I had only recently enjoyed.
(Artists Depiction)
Turning around, I saw a face, a man it looked like, though the sylvan look he was sporting made it a little hard to tell at first.  Shiningly pretty hair, glittering motes of light around him, a night sky full of stars and a far-too-large moon in the background told me that this was definantly one of the highly enchanted beings that tends to populate the realms these days.  I'm not sure whether it was something he did, or an effect of the energy-sapping of walking down the stairs, but I felt incredibly tired right then.

He took a few steps down towards me, and I must confess, I panicked.  It's not every day your about to be taken into the world of dreams by a real life fae!  Well, perhaps in Ayenee it might be, but certainly the location had to make a difference.  What else could I do really?  I jumped.

It's funny really, when you hear a fae curse, it seems like every other word in dwarven, even if their not, is an oath of some kind (in most of the bars I frequent really, every other word from a dwarf IS one...  and the other is usually "ale).  While in the language of the fae, every melodious phrase makes you one to kiss them, no matter WHAT their saying.

At least, I think he swore, I never actually learned very much of the sylvan language.  The fall was very, very long, and the landing left me sore for a week, not to mention the soggy swim back.  I'm
sure I swam straight back to where I left, I even found my footprints leading up to the staircase!  But the damndest thing is, the staircase itself was gone when I got back, not the slightest trace.  Bizarre.

Looking for Magical Dyes
It's so easy to find magical swords and armor these days, practically leaping out of people's ears they are!  Even magial threads are available from the elves fairly often, but what's a tattooist to do to find her inks?

Well, I've got a bit of training enchanting them myself, but already magical inks are SO much better than enchanting them  there. Anyone with a substantial quantity of magical dyes can contact Lady_Rhisa at my tattoo parlor in Ayenee city.

Anyone interesting in getting a tattoo, feel free to stop by, we do magical as well as non-magical varieties!
