History
The short explaination of the Shadowed Corner upon the title page really wasn't enough to do it  Justice, and some other people might be hungering for the entire story.  Or, perhaps it's just because I'm bored and enjoy writing, either way this should be interesting, non?

Come 'Round children, or, slightly older children.  (I'm operating on the off-chance that anyone who qualifies as an adult who's visiting my page is working for the government, or in some way is trying to prosecute me for real or imagined legal damages), and hear the tale, of Role-playing games and bizarre cultural phenomina.

I was first introduced to the concept of a shadowed corner, and RPG characters going into them with great frequency in the Yahoo! Chat, specifically Arts & Entertainment section (hence "Ayenee") back in '98.  Now, RPG chat was a bizarre thing back then, textual battles occuring left and right, all manner of shady characters (particularly vampires),  always moving straight to the Shadowed Corners.  It made sense, in an odd sort of way, and I admit, I fell victim to the Cliche as well.

Eventually, people saw how silly this was, and moved on to other cliches, but the catch-phrase has remained, and blossomed into pen & paper RPG's, (Again, usually Vampire: The Masquerade), players don't seem to need any sort of urging to do this, they always gravitate towards Shadowed Corners, maybe it's programmed into their genes?  They usually use the same Phrase to do it too..

Now, what actually possessed me to create this site?  Aside from the natural desire to own a gaming site all for my very own?

Well, there's the fact that it doubles as a personal homepage, which I've been needing to make for years now.  That, and the massive amount of Gaming material I've written up over the years deserves a home.  And of course, ego-enrichment, I've got a massive one, and this feeds it like nothing else.  ^_^

Finally, I'm bored.  At the moment, I'm taking three classes, work as a lifeguard, and have a %$#%load of free time on my hands, what better way to waste it than build a website?  Betcha never heard of anyone actually telling you why before either..  Sorta've destroys the shrowd most webmasters put over themselves now doesn't it?

As The Site aquires a history, this page will change every so often, perhaps I'll put old news in here or something.  that means I actually have to KEEP UP on the News then..  Hmmmm.....
