Hiding

I've done it in the past
I've learned to play the game.
Hide behind a smile
And keep inside the pain.
Never reaching in
Always reaching out.
Never really learning
What I'm all about.
I've always cared
But never for myself.
The feelings that I had
Were for someone else.
How do I change
What's in the past?
How do I learn to love me
And let go at last?
