    New Birds:
  • White-faced Ibis (we actually saw these at D.N.W.R. 2 weeks ago flying overhead but where not sure so I didn't list them.)
  • Least Tern ~ listed as Accidental & casual in my old book.

    Birds of the Day:
  • Snowy Egret
  • Redhead duck
  • Ruddy duck
  • Gambel's Quail
  • American Coot
  • Killdeer
  • Black-necked Stilt
  • American Avocet
  • Willet
  • Spotted Sandpiper
  • Least Sandpiper
  • Wilson's Phalarope
  • Pigeon
  • Mourning Dove
  • Violet-green Sparrow
  • Common Raven
  • Yellow-headed Blackbird
  • Red-winged Blackbird ... Think we saw a tri-colored (red & white on wing) have to look at the video. We did see red & yellow on wing and red only on wing (bi-colored).

... Well, they finally got a paved parking lot.
Not as much water as I would have thought, but there was water in pond 13 and 2 snowy egrets.
As soon as we got there the attendent came out said she hasn't been birding long and asked what we thought a bird. It was a Willet 'cause I asked the older couple that informed us of the location of the Least Tern!

... State Checklists ...
