10-31-99 ~ I went back to San Francisco for two more weeks and finally got to my website.

Saw lots of Hawks north of the Golden Gate Bridge and Eagles at Mount Diablo east of Oakland.

10-10-99 ~ Well I went to San Francisco,Ca. for three weeks to work but did get a few chances to Bird Watch.
On the way out Thea and I saw about 50 Red-tailed Hawks sitting in a dirt field, I think that the field had just been seeded so there where mice eating the seeds, and hawks and ravens eating the mice!

I was on the coast and saw a Great Horned Owl.
Lots of blackbirds at Point Reyes.
Seagulls, Terns, Pelicans, and shorebirds in the Bay at Golden Gate.
Lots of Herons in the S.F. Bay National Wildlife Refuge.

9-6-99 ~ We bought a 3-wheel baby stroller to carry our ice chest, books, camera's, binoculars and stuff!
We used it at Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve & Desert National Wildlife Range. Works really good.

I also got a 2530 spotting scope. It shakes alot so I'll use it some 'cause it's small enough to carry in my pocket.

8-25-99 ~ More Hummingbirds at the feeders. We now have two, one on each side of our patio.

8-22-99 ~ Thea & I saw a hummer at the feeder, 6pm.

8-20-99 ~ Set up a 15oz. hummingbird feeder...

11/17/98
Ive been watching House Sparrows during lunch at work. They are so fast and there are so many kinds its hard to tell if they are all the same type.

11/21/98
A Great Day Birding!
We had spotted the Verdin & House Finches at the canoe launch of Lake Mead Marina and walked a little farther down the tree line. We turned around and started to leave. We had been there an hour.
!!!! THEA jumped two feet in the air!
A BIG

BARN OWL

about knocked her down trying to get out of the 4 foot tree she was walking past...
We followed it for a good hour into 3-4 spots before we gave up. What a sighting...
