...Today I went to:
Red Rock Canyon
8:30am ~sunny~ 60�~light breeze...
... First stop was the Sandstone Quarry.A couple of 5 Scrub Jays and then I spent a while watching a Ladder-backed Woodpecker.
That was all there so I headed for:
Willow Springs Picnic Area
- 10 Scrub Jays
- 3 Rufous-sided Towhees
- 5 Oregon Juncos
- a Plain Titmouse
- 4 White-crowned Sparrows
Calliope Hummingbirds
just sitting on a branch 8 feet away from my face.I stood still for 5 minutes watching them.
...That's a New Bird for me...
