... Left Eureka early and got lost after
Ferndale. It's a neat old town!
Seen ten deer and a Kingfisher at the coast while we were lost. So we got a map back in Ferndale.
Yeah some times I don't even plan what roads to take... lots of birds and a nice beach.
Finally got on SR 1. I tried not to pull off at every scenic view but didn't succeed.
We identified the
- Brown Pelican
- Willet
- Oystercather
- Surf Scoter
and lots of bird not identified along the coast.
Made it to Bodega Bay about 9:00 pm and went on to Point Reyes lighthouse. Not a lot big towns on the coast between San Fran & Eureka. So we got to climb on the Golden Gate.
