Hi; I was born in the Valley, Los Angeles, CA in December, 1960. I always felt responsible for the Northridge Earthquake. The first thing I remember liking that liked me back was men. I had a girlfriend she lasted 9 months. I'm a high school graduate. I went to Stewardess school. My entrance exam was on a cocktail napkin. I was outed and moved out of the house when I was 17. My mother still refers to this as the time I ran away from home. Eventually I ran to West Hollywood where it's gay and I figured I'd do better.

Now I'm in Fort Lauderdale.

FLORIDA this is your last chance!

Three years ago we packed our bags, tossed our three cats in the car and moved to Fort Lauderdale.  I am in my sevententh year as a flight attendant with a major airline. I have been weight training for over 20 years and consider it one of my healthier obsessions .

My dislikes include rude or arrogant people, inappropriately used cellular telephones, smoking, bigotry, racism, homophobia and ignorance. I have no tolerance for people who expel their ignorance under the guise of religion.  As that great twentieth century scholar, theologine and philosopher Rodney King once said, "Why can't we all just get along?"

I'm very grateful to my husband for being in my life and to that end we are very happy, committed, and for all intents and purposes as married as a gay couple could legally be.  We are recognized by Broward County as a legally registered Domestic Partnership.  (Pretty cool, huh?)

"We're here, we're queer, and we need a beer"

In December, we took a "porno cruise." It was an  opportunity to mix and "mingle" with the boys of Catalina Video.

Here are a few of the pics.

then we dried out in Palm Springs for a few days followed by a week in San Francisco.

SO, WHAT DO YOU THINK OF OUR WEB PAGE? LET US KNOW.

  • THE PRIDE PRAYER

For the Drag Queens who are so outrageous, they drew attention to us when society thought it could get away with ignoring and discarding us, let us give thanks. Amen

For the Dykes on Bikes who lead our parades and dare to challenge conventional ideas about gender, let us be grateful. Amen

For the members of ACT-UP and Guard who refuse to take no for an answer, whose courage brings treatment to those who need it and whose daring brings us close to a cure, let us give thanks. Amen

For the Log Cabin Republicans who demonstrate that there is more than one-way to be Gay and political, let us give thanks. Amen

For the Gay Democrats whose voices have made changes in National platforms and Federal policies making all our lives easier, let us be grateful. Amen

For the gym rats defying the notion that the body is something we ought to be ashamed of, let us be grateful. Amen

For the bears who prove that beauty does not have to come in a cookie cutter reflection of ancient Greek statues, let us be rateful. Amen

For the seniors who paved the way for most of us, who lived Gay and Lesbian lives in times many of can hardly imagine, who created a history that bolsters all of us, even those of use who aren't aware of our pioneers, let us give thanks. Amen

For the Gay and Lesbian kids who create youth groups and school support groups so that fewer and fewer people like us have to suffer in silence, let us give thanks. Amen

For those of us who embrace their faith be it Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, New Age, obliterating the notion that the so-called religious right owns the copyright on God, let us be thankful. Amen

For the Gay men and Lesbians who abandoned religion when they came out, reminding us that sometimes society creates a hurt so big that the rest of us still have a lot of healing to do, let us be grateful. Amen

For the Gay men and Lesbians of color teaching us that if we want to truly wave the Rainbow flag with pride that we have to include everyone, let us give thanks. Amen

For the Gay and Lesbian parents who demonstrate that families come in many different configurations and that family values are not defined by the Right wing, let us be grateful. Amen

For the artists and hairdressers and mechanics and teachers and clergy and dancers and bartenders - for the wh8ite collars and the blue collars and the sequined collars and the leather collars - for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender, for the leaders and the followers who remind us that stereotypes are created by outsiders and that real people are three dimensional human beings with hearts that beat, let us be thankful. Amen
