I apologize to all those who have been posting politely, relevantly, and legibly all along. These rules are not aimed at you. Nor are they intended for anyone in particular, but as the group has grown so quickly, I believe it is time for all of us to get on the same page. Please don�t let these rules hamper the fun we�ve been having, or hurt any energetic discussions. They are intended to make the Unbroken Universe a place we can all enjoy.

Be polite. Treat others as you wish to be treated�remember that old Golden Rule? Please apply it here.
No netspeak. Please have the courtesy to type out the entire word. One in doubt, please just use proper English. Netslang is also unprofessional and grows sore on the eye; please go easy on the "lol's."
On the same note, please check your spelling and grammar. One or two glitches are acceptable, more than that begins to make the eyes ache.
Please stay on topic. Off Topic (OT) posts are permitted so long as they involve Harry Potter or fan fiction; other than that, please exchange Instant Messenger screen names or email addresses to share personal messages. [This is not to say that you can't add personal remarks to other messages, but posts such as "I'm bored!" or "Who else is awake at this time?" do not concern everyone on the list.
Please keep the quoting of previous posts to a minimum. As this is primarily an email group, huge posts tend to clog up people's inboxes amazingly fast and slow loading down for everyone. If the comment is relevant, feel free to quote it, but a little judicious snipping will be greatly appreciating.
No one-liners, unless it's a very relevant question that only takes one line to ask. If you would like to agree or disagree with something, please tell us why. Please don�t just post "Me too!" or "I don't agree."
No politics. Most of us are of voting age, and all of us are welcome to our own opinions. If you wish to discuss things like this, please do so off-group.
Posting links and/or messages to sites for "Interracial Dating" and the like is completely unacceptable. Several members have been offended by this, and doing so more than once will be grounds for immediate removal from the group. I don't like to slap people down so hard, but I will catch you, and you will be removed.
Who tags, while not required, are encouraged. Have fun.

Three Strike Policy:

Break the rules once, I'll shake my finger at you. Twice, I'll slap you on the wrist. But if you break the rules a third time, you're out of the group. Keep in mind that this does not apply to making little slips into netspeak and the like, but anyone who creates a serious problem will only get two warnings before the boot.
