WISHING FOR THE WIND…
WISHING FOR THE OCEAN…
The gentle wind blowing through Michiru’s soft turquoise hair made her return to reality.
"This wind… Just like Haruka’s gentle touch… I wish…" Michiru thought unvoluntarily, but realizing that, hurried to drive the thought away, blushing slightly. She looked at Haruka as Haruka walked further away from her.
"Standing under that cherry tree, with the pink cherry blossom petals falling round her like snowflakes, she seems so alone… So beautiful…" Haruka thought, as she turned her head to take one last look at Michiru. Ashamed of her thought, she turned around again.
Michiru slowly sat down under the tree, catching a cherry petal in her hand. Holding her hand out, she looked at the fragile blossom as it was picked up by the wind and carried away. It fluttered in the wind, flying to and fro, until it floated over to Haruka and touched her cheek. Catching it, looking at the pink petal, she slowed her pace, until she stopped.
She stood there, in the middle of the path, cherry blossoms floating around her, floating endlessly, carried by the soft breeze, landing on the road, on her clothes, in her hair… Slowly turning her head, Haruka looked back. Her eyes wandered around, gazing at the cherry tree… the flowers… Michiru… her beautiful blue eyes… Michiru? Why did she, Haruka, keep looking for her? Somehow, she could not find comfort, happiness without Michiru’s presence anymore. Gazing in her blue eyes, touching her soft, flowing turquoise hair, being with her forever… That seemed the biggest wish to her. Finding herself looking at Michiru’s deep eyes, deep as the ocean, Haruka blushed slightly, but instead of turning around again, she kept looking at her. She didn’t want to let go. She showed her her real purpose, her destiny, her life finally took a meaning. Michiru’s eyes meeting Haruka’s, they continued looking at each other.
Why? Why was she gazing at Haruka? Michiru slightly blushed. She slowly took out her transformation pen. Holding it, looking at it… She had a destiny, a goal to either fulfill, or die trying. She was glad that now she had Haruka to share her destiny with her. But she still felt regret. Gazing into Haruka’s eyes, thinking… Her eyes will never be the same again. Now they shone with the sparkle of a destiny. The destiny of a Senshi. She, Michiru, changed Haruka’s life forever by giving her the pen. Haruka had a choice and she chose to be a Senshi. A Senshi, like her. Why did she let her touch that pen? Did she realize what that meant? Now her life was changed forever, and there was no turning back. But Michiru was happy… Happy that now she had someone to share her destiny with. She continued gazing in Haruka’s blue eyes, eyes like the wind.
Slowly, Haruka approached her. Looking up, their eyes met once again. She realized that Haruka was holding her transformation pen as well. In the soft voice that brought happiness to Michiru’s face, Haruka said: "Thank you, Michiru. Thank you for showing me my destiny. My destiny as a Senshi and my destiny to be with you." Slightly blushing, Michiru looked at Haruka. Haruka sat down beside Michiru, watching the endless cherry blossoms float by.
Wishing for the wind… Wishing for the ocean… Their wishes were fulfilled.
