"Crimson Sails" is a beautifully written story of belief, of love, of dreams coming true. It's a story of the strength of heart, of holding on to your dreams. And it's my favorite story in the entire world.
I love this story more than any other story I've read. I've read quite a few stories, maybe less than I wish to have read, but this one continues to shine among all of them. Well, I really should say "book", because it is just about book-length... the Russian edition of it that I have spans only 75 pages. But don't let the shortness of the book fool you - it is a magnificent, beautiful tale that makes me cry tears of joy every time I read it.
But why don't you find out for yourself?
Because I like this story so much, and I only saw it printed in Russian, I decided to undertake the daunting task of translating the whole thing, so I can share it with English-speaking people around the world! (don't let the author's last name fool you - he was a Russian author, "Green" is only his pseudonym) I'm still working on it, but here is what I have translated so far. Enjoy!
