Natsumi=Ann Seijuurou=Alan A girl by the age of 16 with long blonde hair held up in buns and owner to a pair of crystal blue eyes was walking down the sidewalk flipping through a new novel she'd bought for her friend. Her name,is Usagi Tsukino..and a collision is about to happen.... A moment later,Usagi found herself on the hard gravel and somebody beside her...Looking up,her crystal blue eyes meet midnight blue ones. A handsome face owned the eyes along with a silky midnight head of hair. She knew that face anywhere....Chiba Mamoru. "Mamoru-baka!!"she exclaimed angrily,picking herself up from the ground. Mamoru who is 19 picked himself off the ground and glared at the girl in front of him..."Nice crashing into YOU too,Odango Atama." Usagi clenched her fist,picking up her book,"My name is USAGI,baka..."she gritted through clenched teeth."If you were watching where you were going.." Mamoru snorted,cutting her off..."Look who's talking,Odango..." "Baka!!" "Odango!" "Insensitive!" "Childish!" "Mamoru-kun!!"exclaimed another voice. Usagi and Mamoru looked away from each other to the direction of the voice... Usagi stood up straight. A girl the same age as Usagi with flaming red hair,stood before them. "Oh,hello Natsumi."said Usagi politely. Ginga Natsumi.Everybody knew she had the hots for Chiba Mamoru,and tried hard to get his undivided attention...which of course..usually failed. "Mamoru-kun!!Fancy meeting you here!!"said Natsumi,ignoring Usagi. Usagi shrugged and looked at her watch...She was suppose to meet Ami and the rest at the Crown Arcade for a study session. "I think...I'll take my leave."said Usagi as Natsumi's arms snaked around Mamoru's arm.Which was clear irritated him as he kept pulling away. "Good day."said Natsumi coldly. "Yeah,See you,Odango."teased Mamoru. "Don't call me that,baka!!"shouted Usagi over her shoulder as she broke into a sprint. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mamoru watched as Usagi disappeared...What was it about her that made him feel so childish and at ease?? "Mamoru-kun...what do you want to do??"asked Natsumi smiling sweetly. "Huh??Nothing."said Mamoru as he pulled his arm away.Unfortunately,Natsumi didn't get the hint and stubbornly clutched his arm again. "I know!!We can go to the....night club!!I hear they have a great new karaoke lounge!!"said Natsumi happily. 'Sweatdrop' *It's morning and she wants to go to the...NIGHT club???* "Uh...don't you think it's kind of early to go to a night club??"asked Mamoru. "No??Oh well...we could go to uh...a movie...yeah!!"said Natsumi. "Errr..sorry..I uh..I'm busy!!"said Mamoru,pulling away and quickly ran towards the direction of his college.... Natsumi blinked once...twice..."Did I say something wrong???Why is it when I ask Mamoru-kun out,he always says he's busy???!!"asked Natsumi nobody in particular angrily. Fuming...she stomped off... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mamoru heaved slightly as he sat down at the college library steps... *Natsumi is so pushy..not like Odango..Huh??Why am I comparing the two??* wondered Mamoru. "I must be still asleep..."said Mamoru shaking his head slightly. Getting up,he began walking towards the arcade.....his mind continuing to wander towards a certain,odangoed blonde.... "Hello,Usa-chan,Mina-chan.."said Makoto,Rei and Ami as they walked in at 10.10am.... "Usagi-chan???!!!"exclaimed Rei,rubbing her eyes. "Hello,minna."said Usagi sipping her milkshake... "I must be dreaming...somebody pinch me."said Rei. "Okay.."said Ami,pinching her friend on the arm. "OWWW!!!Okay...I'm NOT dreaming..."said Rei,rubbing her arm. "So...lets study.."yawned Usagi slightly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mamoru walked into the arcade."Hello,Motoki!!"greeted Mamoru. "Morning Mamoru."said Motoki as he wiped the counter... Mamoru sat at the counter.His eyes wandered around the arcade...his eyes settled on a sight which astonished him.... *Odango Atama...studying??????*But then,he'd known her for 2 years and she'd actually changed a lot since she was 14...she hardly klutzed out nowadays and she had started taking her studies more seriously. She was also more beautiful now and her body was beginning to mature,along with her attitude...though she still bickered with him like this morning... "Hey Odango Atama..."teased Mamoru. "Yaaaaa..."cried Usagi dropping her English text-book.Looking up,she saw Mamoru...."Mamoru-baka!!"she exclaimed angrily."Don't ever do that again." Minako and the rest watched as Mamoru and Usagi entered another bickering match.... Minako's mind began to wander....if you looked closely...Mamoru and Usagi actually,looked GOOD together...*It'd be cool to try and get Mamoru-san and Usagi-chan together.....I think I'll tell the others later..* "Mamoru-baka!!Can you not see I am trying to study...or are you blind??" asked Usagi. "You know perfectly,nothing is wrong with my sight,Odango Atama."drawled Mamoru.*She looks cute with her cheeks flushed like that....What am I thinking again??Get a grip,Chiba...*thought Mamoru. "One might think you were..." *Ouch....now that one comment had to hurt...*thought Motoki chuckling. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Minako,Makoto,Rei,Ami and Motoki met later that day at the Cherry Hill Temple. "So,Minako-chan...what's up??"asked Makoto curiously. "Yes...we're curious...what did you want to tell us??" "I wanted to talk to you'll about Usagi-chan and Mamoru-san."said Minako. "About the two of them??What's there to talk about??They hate each other." said Rei. Ami nodded. "Well...maybe we can change that..I mean..they actually look very cute together you know..."stated Minako. Makoto frowned slightly,her brow creasing... "Hmmm...now that you mention it...you're right.."said Makoto. "But how are we going to get them together when they hate each other??" asked Rei curiously. "Maybe....maybe they actually like each other and don't know it...after all..they've known each other for 2 years..."said Ami. The 3 girls stare at Ami curiously... (Ami)'sweatdrop' "You know...you have a point.."said Minako. "I do??" "Yes...besides...Valentine's is coming up!!That would be a good time to get them together..."said Minako. Motoki smiled..."You're right.."he agreed."Besides..it's time Mamoru had a little love in his life..." Minako smiled.Everybody agreed with her... "Like the saying goes...It's better to have loved and tossed than never to have lost at all."said Minako. The four sweatdropped and gave a sigh... "Uh,..Mina-chan..that's, better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all..."corrected Motoki. Minako gave a nervous chuckle..."Ah..Really???Eheheheheh....how silly of me..." 'Sweatdrop...' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The next day....(9th Febuary) "Hey Mamoru..next Monday's Valentine's Day.Got anything planned??? Especially for a certain blue-eyed blonde???"prodded Motoki. Mamoru frowned.."Blue-eyed blonde??Valentine's day??Acting mushy already?" asked Mamoru. Motoki grinned."You know what I mean,Mamoru...I can tell you like her..." said Motoki. Mamoru stared strangely at his bestfriend and blushed slightly. "I have no i-" "Mamoru-kun!!!"squealed Natsumi as she entered the Crown Arcade... Mamoru froze and gave a gulp..."Uh...Motoki...do you have any hiding place I can use??"asked Mamoru. "Mamoru-kun!!It's so funny to meet you here!!Looks like we're really fated!!"giggled Natsumi as she once again,latched onto Mamoru's arm. Motoki chuckled at his friend's predicament. At that moment,Usagi and the other 4 girls walked in. "Hi minna!!"greeted Usagi happily. "Hi Usagi-chan."replied Motoki smiling. Natsumi gave Usagi a 0-degrees look."Oh..hello." "Hello Odango Atama."said Mamoru as he stared down at the arm that was currently latched onto his own... "Hello to YOU,too baka."replied Usagi.But then,she stopped as she saw Mamoru was not looking at her direction...but at Natsumi's arm that was connected to his,with a frown pasted on his handsome features. Usagi stared blankly...unsure if to pity him or burst out laughing... Usagi giggled slightly...catching his attention."Uh...Mamoru-san...do you have a problem???"asked Usagi,subtly hinting. Mamoru raised an eyebrow,catching the meaning. The four girls saw what Usagi was giggling at and couldn't help chuckling too... "Uh-do you need some 'cough' help???"sputtered Usagi. Mamoru frowned.Usagi'Odango Atama'Tsukino,was laughing at him.He didn't know if he should laugh..or pitch a fit and insult the odango haired blonde. She did look very cute and pretty standing there...a smile playing on her sun-kissed lips. *I wonder what it'd be like to-*Mamoru caught his thoughts and mentally kicked himself. Blushing slightly,"Uh...I'd appreciate it,Odang-uh Usagi-chan."said Mamoru catching himself.He knew if he called her Odango,Usagi would help him as much as a cow would neigh. Usagi smirked..."Oh,Natsumi...I ran into Seijuurou,awhile ago...he was looking for you.Isn't that right everybody??"asked Usagi. "Yes..your brother said it was urgent..."continued Minako,winking slightly at Usagi. "He did??Darn..he always catches me at the wrong time..."sighed Natsumi irritatedly. Releasing Mamoru's arm...she turned to Mamoru. "Oh,Mamoru-kun...I'm sorry I can't keep you company today.."sighed Natsumi regretfully. Mamoru stared at her blankly.*What does she expect me to do??Cry??Groan?? 'Oh no,I'm losing the company I don't want????'*thought Mamoru sarcastically to himself. "Err..it's alright."said Mamoru politely. When Natsumi left....Usagi burst out laughing."She really believed me!!" Mamoru breathed a sigh of relief."Whew...arigato Usagi-chan."said Mamoru letting go his breath he didn't know he was holding. "No problem...nobody deserves to suffer...not even you.."said Usagi walking toward one of the booths... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Later that day... Mamoru had followed Usagi to an ice-skating rink...He had been curious when she said she had to go somewhere. Usagi stood on the ice,gracefully. Mamoru watched as she did a cute pose.Then,she began skating.She was the only one on the ice.Apparently...other skaters had pulled back. *Hmm..it's obvious she's well-known here...*thought Mamoru to himself. He tapped one of the other skaters on the shoulder. "Excuse,me...but why have you and thr rest of the skaters pulled back from the rink??"asked Mamoru. The man smiled slightly."That's Usagi Tsukino.She is the best skater we've ever seen.So usually,we like to give her the spotlight,"explained the man. Mamoru stared at the man blankly.*Odango??The best skater??* He returned his attention to the skating Odango headed blonde. She skated gracefully around the rink...Mamoru smiled slightly...he remembered,2 years ago...she could hardly walk without tripping... ~FLASHBACK~ "You're so mean!!!"shouted a fuming Usagi. "I wouldn't be,if you didn't whack me on the head with that test paper, when we first met!!"exclaimed Mamoru. "Well...that was an accident!!"protested Usagi. "Oh?What about the time you pelted me with your bag???" "That was for being,mean and childish."said Usagi walking away,her head high....she walked away full of dignity...of course..it didn't last... She tripped on a crack and fell flat on the ground.... ~END FLASHBACK~ *Who would have thought,Odango Atama,led a secret life,as Juuban's best skater??*wondered Mamoru. Mamoru snapped back to reality as Usagi stopped skating.Applause sounded. Usagi took a bow. Mamoru smirked."Excuse me...may I borrow your skates??"asked Mamoru. The man nodded. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Usagi bowed as the other skaters at the rink applaused her skating.... "Hello Odango Atama...so this is where you had to rush off to..."said a voice. "Wha-??"began Usagi before she lost her balance from swivelling around to fast...landing hard on her rear end. Mamoru chuckled."Hey,looks like I was wrong..you still..DO klutz out once in awhile." "Baka!!You scared me!!" Mamoru lifted Usagi up.A smirk on his face..."May I have this dance lady?" Usagi stared at him curiously...She nodded...offering him her hand... Motoki,Minako,Rei,Makoto,and Ami were in the bleachers...they gaped.Usagi knew how to skate!!!"Why the little sneak..."said Rei. Usagi and Mamoru began to skate on the empty rink,watched by the others in the bleachers... As they began to skate....a song filled the rink.... 'Watashitachi Ni Narikute (Baby baby love)' Usagi and Mamoru moved with each other easily and naturally to the song. Minako smirked slightly.She'd seen the tape,Watashitachi Ni Narikute (Baby baby love) lying on a table by the rink side...and so...with the help of Rei of course,Minako inserted the cassette into the PA system of the ice rink. Usagi stared into Mamoru's eyes....*So deep blue...* Mamoru held Usagi as they skated...*She's so..beautiful..I could skate forev-* Suddenly,the atmosphere of romance was gone.... "Mamoru-kun!!"squealed Natsumi. Mamoru froze...*Not again...* Minako saw Seijuurou and Natsumi enter the ice rink...and ended the song abruptly.The romantic atmosphere,they'd created had gone up in smoke. Natsumi had seen the skating performance of Usagi and Mamoru. "Mamoru-kun!!What a surprise!!!My brother and I came to practice our skating!!!"giggled Natsumi which sounded more like a harpy. "Uh-yeah...what a surprise..."*More like a heart attack...* "Oh,hello Usagi.Fancy meeting you here.My brother says,he was NOT looking for me."bit out Natsumi,glaring at Usagi. "He wasn't??My mistake."laughed Usagi. "Hello,Usagi-chan."said Seijuurou. "Seijuurou-san."acknowledged Usagi. Seijuurou watched as his sister clutched Mamoru-san's arm with an annoying pout.He chuckled slightly. Mamoru felt as he was suffocating.Drowning..helpless... "Well,Mamoru-san,it has been-er..interesting skating with you."said Usagi bowing slightly.Skating away to the rink-side.... Mamoru watched Odango Atama,skate away...Natsumi frowned slightly.She pouted and tugged at Mamoru's arm. "Mamoru-kun!!" *Sigh...this is going to be a looo-oong day..* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 10th Febuary... Motoki exited the flower shop.He sighed slightly...the things he did to get Mamoru and Usagi together... He'd just ordered a dozen red roses and had them write a card,saying... 'For a special girl who is you,Usagi Tsukino.' from Mamoru. He shook his head.Mamoru was going to owe him big.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Later in the afternoon... Natsumi was walking down the street and crashed accidently into the florist's delivery man. She'd ordered some exquisite flowers and had addressed them to herself saying it was from Mamoru. "Oh,I'm sorry!!"exclaimed Natsumi. She helped the delivery man pick up the packages. Her eye caught one of the packages...She burned red hot when she saw the name of the recipient and the sender... *Oooh...Mamoru-kun is sending flowers,to that baka,Usagi?????* Angrily,she swapped the cards and addressed with another package.She then saw another package that said was from Mamoru.Without reading who the recipient was...she angrily swapped the address and card with another one. With that,she picked up the packages and handed them to the delivery man who was picking up some other boxes of flowers.... Angrily,she stormed away....she had only one thing in her mind...*KILL the airy-headed,baka,odangoed blonde.* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Good Afternoon...is this the Tsukino residence??"asked a man. Usagi was alone in the house and she had been watching television when the doorbell rang. "Uh...yes."replied Usagi. "I have a delivery for a Miss Usagi Tsukino." "That's me."answered Usagi. The delivery man handed the package to Usagi.Taking the package,Usagi closed the door... "Arigato."she told the delivery man. After she closed the door,she took the package to the dining table. She saw a card on the box.Picking it off the box,Serena read what was written there.. "To a special girl who is you,Usagi Tsukino...,from...MAMORU!!???"shrieked Usagi,her eyes going wide. Opening the box,she found a beautiful bouquet of red and white roses. "Oh my goodness..." *Mamoru doesn't like me does he???*Around the stalks of the flowers,was a pink ribbon which said,BE MY VALENTINE. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At Natsumi's home... Natsumi opened the door and saw the florist delivery man there. "Is this the Ginga Residence?" "Yes."replied Natsumi coldly.She was still angry over the fact that Mamoru had sent Usagi Tsukino flowers... The delivery man,handed her a package.Snatching it,Natsumi slammed the door without saying anything... She marched to the living room angrily...She had used her money to buy an exquisite arrangement of flowers.Roses,lilies and other flowers. Ripping off the ribbon and card which she had written herself earlier, Natsumi opened the box.Her eyes widened when she saw..... White chrysanthemums???"What happened to my expensive exotic bouquet???" screamed Natsumi. A ribbon was tied around the stalks..saying...'REST IN PEACE.' Natsumi screamed loudly.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Somewhere At Tokyo Cemetry.... A family stared puzzled at a bouquet of exotic flowers,saying,BE MY VALENTINE. They had order a bouquet of white chrysanthemums,for the burial of a family member....so...what had happened to those white chrysanthemums??? (Author's notes:We know don't we???? *wink*) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Crown Arcade... Mamoru sat at the counter,sipping coffee and reading the newspaper. "Anything interesting in the newspaper,Mamoru?"asked Motoki. "Hmm...nothing at all."said Mamoru laying down his paper.At that moment, Usagi came in. "Hey,Usagi-chan."greeted Motoki. "Hello,Motoki-san." "Odango Atama."said Mamoru a smirk on his face. "Mamoru-baka."she acknowledged.A queer expression on her face as she stared at Mamoru. Motoki grinned slightly. "Hey Odango...is something wrong??"asked Mamoru concerned. Usagi frowned."Nothing's wrong...And don't call me that,baka!!"bit Usagi. Mamoru shrugged. "Mamoru-kun!!!!"shouted a voice. 'sweatdrop' "You like Usagi better than me don't you???!!!"shouted Natsumi. Mamoru stared at Natsumi a pink hue blossoming on his face. "I beg your pardon????"asked Mamoru not understanding. "You sent her flowers!!" Motoki chuckled slightly.*Looks like the harpy is jealous.Poor Mamoru. Rei,Makoto,Ami and Minako walked in and saw Natsumi shouting at Mamoru. "Errr...Usagi-chan...what is happening here???I thought Natsumi liked Mamoru."asked Makoto. Usagi blushed."She's shouting at him cause Mamoru-san sent flowers to me." answered Usagi. Mamoru turned to Usagi."But I didn't."protested Mamoru. "You didn't??Then who sent those red and white roses??"asked Usagi. "Red and white??"echoed Motoki puzzled.He had only sent red ones.Where did the white come from???? "Maybe the Rose fairy sent them!!"said Minako joking. 'Sweatdrop...'Everybody stared at Minako... Minako blushed slightly. Natsumi threw a killer look at Usagi and stomped out the arcade,her nose sticking high in the air.But unfortunately...she wasn't watching where she was walking and walked straight into a signboard...tripping over it... 'sweatdrop..' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Alright..what's this about ME,sending FLOWERS????"asked Mamoru as soon as Natsumi was out of sight. "If you didn't send the flowers,who did???Cause I'm more than willing to give them back.."said Usagi. "Maybe you have a secret admirer..."said Makoto. Mamoru felt his heart lurch...*Odango???Have an admirer???* "Well,Usagi-chan...what have you got to say???"asked Rei,staring at her friend curiously. "Ooh!!The comic bookstore is having a manga sale and giving away free donuts!!"said Usagi looking at an ad in Mamoru's paper.... Everybody 'face vaults' at Usagi's comment. Minako 'sweatdropped' giving a nervous giggle...."Uh...Usagi-chan..don't you have anything to say about Mako-chan's comment??"asked Minako. Usagi looked up. "No...and frankly...I don't care...now...I have to get to the manga store! The new Sailor V is out!!!"exclaimed Usagi running out of the arcade. 'Sweatdrops...' Every sighed as they stared after the odangoed blonde who was rushing off in the direction of the manga store. "Hey...did Usa-chan,say the new Sailor V manga,is out???"asked Minako looking up. The four girls stared at each other,their eyes going wide....quickly,they scrambled out after Usagi. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Natsumi walked down the sidewalk fuming....*I hate Usagi Tsukino...She'll regret the day she tried to upstage me and break me from Mamoru Chiba...* "Watch out Usagi Tsukino!!!I Natsumi Ginga will not give up!!!" 'SPLATT!!!' Natsumi's hair was covered in pink ice-cream...she frowned. At that moment...a young mother rushed up to apologize.Her child had tripped and sent his strawberry maple syrup frapple cone,soaring into the air.The pink sticky ice-cream dribbled down her red hair. *Can the day get any worse??* Suddenly,a young man who was carrying an ice drink and talking to his girlfriend walked by and wasn't watching where he was going. The cup went flying,the drink spilled on the back of her sweater,sending ice cubes down her back. Natsumi screamed in shock. When she'd recovered herself....she saw a snickering Seijuurou. She frowned and glared at him deadly. "I see you've done a make-over Natsumi..."chuckled Seijuurou. "Baka!!!This is NOT a make-over!!!!Seijuurou-baka."growled Natsumi walking away back to the apartment house,she shared with her brother. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 11th Febuary Early that morning.Usagi sighed....she'd yet to figure out who had sent her flowers,using Mamoru's name. *Mamoru and me???What a laugh!!*Stretching out in the early morning sun on the bench,Usagi closed her eyes slightly... "Hello,Odango Atama."came a voice. Usagi smirked....who could not rcognize a voice as deep and sexy as his?? *Waitaminit!!Usagi Tsukino...you DID NOT just think that!!!*shouted her mind. "Hello insensitive-baka."said Usagi,cracking open an eye. "Ohayo to you too..."laughed Mamoru. Usagi didn't miss the icy look,Natsumi gave her. Arching an eyebrow...Usagi was about to say something when suddenly... "Hey,Usagi-chan!!!Ohayo Mamoru-san,Natsumi-chan." Usagi turned to see her friends... "Ohayo minna!!!"smiled Usagi. "Usa-chan..we were just heading to the ice-rink...want to come??"asked Minako nonchalantly. Mamoru gaped again...If the 5 girls...*gulp* left...he'd be ALONE with... NATSUMI!!! "Sure!!"smiled Usagi brightly...but then,caught Mamoru's pleading look. Stifling a laughter....Usagi turned to Natsumi who was clutching Mamoru's arm tightly. "You two,want to come??" "Yes!"said Mamoru. "No!"said Natsumi. Usagi giggled lightly..."Uh....okay....Mamoru can come...and you don't have to as you don't want to go..." Mamoru relaxed slightly...Of late...Odango Atama had recently been helping him escape fates,worst than death....he was grateful to Usagi. Natsumi glared at Usagi slightly.... "No...I'll be going.."bit out Natsumi. Usagi gave a shrug. The five walked behind as,Natsumi tugged Mamoru along...walking ahead of the group. Seven tired people sat squished together in a booth at the Arcade.Natsumi was still holding on to Mamoru's arm,and Minako had insisted Usagi sit next to Mamoru. Despite Usagi's protests.... So....Mamoru sat in the middle of the table...with Usagi and Natsumi crushed next to both his shoulders...not a very....nice position. Motoki came over,chuckling. "Wow,Mamoru...I always said,you were surrounded by girls everytime...but I didn't think it would really happen!!"laughed Motoki. Mamoru groaned. Usagi was NOT happy. All of a sudden...the other 4 girls stood up..."Usagi-chan...we have to go.."said Minako. "Oh!!Then...I'll uh...be leaving too!!!"exclaimed Usagi,shooting up,from her seat. "Oh no you don't..."whispered Minako. "What??"exclaimed Usagi in a hushed tone. "This would be a perfect time to grill Mamoru-san about the flowers!!" Usagi groaned..She DID want to find out if Mamoru had sent the flowers or not....But she didn't expect to do it, by HERSELF!!! "Natsumi's here..."protested Usagi. "So??" Usagi gave a defeated sigh...sitting back down... "What???You said you were leaving and now you say you-" Usagi tried to stop Natsumi...but unfortunately...Natsumi's waving her hands in the air had knocked the tray,Motoki was carrying...sending the sundae,Usagi had ordered onto Natsumi's dress. Natsumi gave a screech. "My dress!!!It'll be ruined!!You stupid excuse for a person!!!"she screamed angrily at Motoki. "It wasn't his fault,Natsumi-chan.If you hadn-" "Shut up!!!"she screamed. Mamoru sat at the table amused.He was enjoying the scene Natsumi was making...further embarassing herself.Though he felt disgust that she'd blame his bestfriend about her dress... "Mamoru-kun!!Don't you have anything to say about this???"asked Natsumi turning to Mamoru. Mamoru looked up flabbergasted."Huh??" "Don't you have anything to say??"Natsumi screeched again. "Yes I do....What a terrible waste of ice-cream and Motoki's time." Usagi stifled a giggle.Motoki hid a small laugh. "Ohayo insensitive-baka."drawled Usagi as she sat at the counter,not facing him. Mamoru merely shrugged and sat beside her. "So..Seijuurou-san is taking you to the Valentine's dance right??" Usagi turned to face him. "Yeah...and you'll be taking his sister,Natsumi-chan."said Usagi nonchalantly. "Ouch....you had to remind me,didn't you Odango??"asked Mamoru. Usagi laughed."Yes...I did.." "Usagi-chan!!Mamoru-san!!"greeted Minako as she entered the Arcade. "Ohayo,Minako-chan."replied Usagi. "Minako-chan."acknowledged Mamoru. "So,Usagi...who are you going to the dance with??"asked Minako casually. "Seijuurou."said Usagi sipping her milkshake. "Seijuurou????"repeated Minako. Usagi was trying to hide her nervousness by talking.However...she was talking .....a bit TOO fast for her friends to understand her... "Usa-chan...slow down!!We can't understand a word you're saying!!!" exclaimed Minako. "SorryMinako-chanI'mjustnervousIguess...."she blurted out. "Meatball head for brains here will never change."sighed Rei. "You'resomeanRei!!Justbecauseyou'renotscaredoflightningdoesn'tmeanyoucan makefunofotherswhoare!!!"came out Usagi's words. A clap of thunder and lightning made Usagi jump. "Mamoru-kun!!!I'm so scaaared!!!"wailed a voice. The five girls sweatdropped and turned to the source of the voice.It was Natsumi who was clinging on to Mamoru's arm.Mamoru looking exasperated and trying to pry the red-headed girl off his arm. Usagi stifled a laugh. Another angry and loud clap of thunder sounded,followed by an equally angry display of lightning which sent Usagi out of her seat and running into the back of the arcade like a frightened rabbit. "Usa-chan!!"called Makoto. Mamoru and Motoki were surprised when the 16-year old odangoed blonde ran past them in a blur.... "What th-??" "It's dark in there.I doubt she'll be able to find the door again,if she ran into the store room."came Unazuki's voice.(Motoki's sister) "So...look for her???"asked Rei to her friends. "Mamoru-kun....I'm scaaaaared!!!"wailed Natsumi. Sweatdrop.... Rei groaned."Stop being SO childish,Natsumi-chan!!!"exclaimed Rei. "I'll volunteer to look in the store room."said Mamoru. "Okay...we'll look in the back room."said Makoto. Natsumi gave another childish whimper.But Mamoru yanked his arm away anyway,despite her protests. "I guess we must be having a power failure."said Mamoru. Walking closer to the back...he realized it was even darker and could hardly make out anything.A soft whimper caught his attention. "Usagi??"he called again,squinting in the darkness,as he tried to find her.He did....he found her huddled form in a dark corner of the room. She was weeping. "Odango...what's wrong??"asked Mamoru. "MY name is USAGI NOT ODANGO!!!!"exclaimed Usagi suddenly. Mamoru gave a chuckle. "Okay okay....What's wrong??There's nothing to be afraid of storms." said Mamoru soothingly. "I just don't like them."whimperd Usagi. Mamoru bent down and hugged the tiny girl. Usagi stiffened and his touch.He was so big in size!!Cinnamon and rose cologne assailed her senses.*Nice...*thought Usagi. Mamoru pulled back and stared at the odangoed blonde.Even the darkness of the room,couldn't hide the blueness of her eyes.Mamoru held his breath. He could feel her short breath on his lips. Usagi licked her lips slightly,as she stared at Mamoru's midnight eyes. Unknown to them,their faces inched closer...and closer... Their lips met in a soft butterfly kiss when suddenly,..... "Thankfully the electricity returned."said Motoki. Mamoru slapped his head slightly.He moaned....*Usako...what are you doing to me???* Usagi awoke to the chirping of the birds and the mewing of her black cat, Luna. "Ohayo Luna,"said Usagi to her cat.Remembering yesterday's events,Usagi blushed.Bringing her fingers to touch her lips,Usagi could still feel the tingle that her lips had felt after Mamo-chan's butterfly kiss.... *Mamo-chan???Where did THAT come from??*wondered Usagi.She sighed... *But then...it would be heavenly to be able to use that name on Mamoru...* thought Usagi to herself as she got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. As Mamoru entered the Arcade,for his usual cup of coffee....a screeching voice made him groan.... "Mamoru-kun!!!!!" "Ohayo...Natsumi-chan..."groaned Mamoru cradling his head. "Pick me up at 8.00pm tomorrow darling..."smiled Natsumi as she strode off.... A stifled laughter was heard behind Mamoru..... Turning,he saw a giggling odangoed blonde.....Usako.... Usagi sat in front of her dresser,carefully fastening her earrings to her earlobes.She wore a pink spaghetti strap dress which reached just above her knees.Silver crescent moon earrings adorned her ears as well as a matching silver bracelet. It was 7.55pm.....5 more minutes till Seijuurou arrived.It was nerve- wracking. Somewhere down-town.... Mamoru's red sports car sped down the road toward Natsumi and Seijuurou's apartment building. Mamoru was not looking forward to seeing Natsumi...especially when she'd fling herself on him and nearly choke him.At least Usagi would be at the dance.....but picking up Natsumi was nerve-wracking.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Minako stood on the the dance floor...ready to put operation Mamoru and Usagi (OMU) into motion.... Minako spotted Mamoru and Natsumi enter the gym.Natsumi as usual was being her long-winded self...Minako gave a small giggle. Usagi and Seijuurou entered the gym!!!! Turning to Rei's direction,Minako nodded and OMU was in action.... Usagi and Seijuurou walked towards the snack table.(Usagi's idea of course) and Ami and Makoto had ushered a grumpy Natsumi and a confused Mamoru towards the snack table.... "Mako-chan!!Ami-chan!!!"smiled Usagi as she saw them. Natsumi and Mamoru peeked up from behing the two girls at the sound of Usagi's voice. "Usagi-chan??"came Natsumi's voice. "Odango-atama??" "Mamoru-baka....Natsumi-chan."acknowledged Usagi,glaring at Mamoru. "Seijuurou-kun."greeted Natsumi. Shut up.You're just in love with Chiba Mamoru.Me???In love???No way.Don't deny it...you know you like him!!Do not!!You're crazy!!If I'm crazy,so are you!* Usagi kicked herself mentally for arguing with herself.Her thoughts on Mamoru were really getting out of hand. Usagi caught sight of Mamoru dancing with Natsumi.Jealousy boiled up. *See!!I told you,you liked him!!!*shouted her heart. *Shut up!!*screamed her mind. Mamoru noticed Usagi head outside...*Where's she going???*wondered Mamoru curiously. Suddenly,somebody bumped into them.... Snapping his attention back,Mamoru saw it was Rei dancing with Yuuichirou. Suddenly,another bump. This time...it was Minako holding a punch cup. Looking towards Natsumi...he noticed a small red spot on her dress.Minako had spilled punch on her dress!!Now Natsumi was sure to throw a fit... "Eeei!!!My dress!!"screamed Natsumi. Mamoru winced at her voice. Minako was furiously apologising and telling her to go to the ladies. Rei snatched Mamoru's arm,pulling him closer. "Here's your chance to go see what's wrong with Usagi-chan."whispered Rei slyly. Mamoru looked at Rei. *The sneaks!!They'd planned this all along!!*exclaimed Mamoru to himself. "A penny for your thoughts Odango."came a voice. Usagi nearly jumped three feet in the air. "Mamoru-san!!"exclaimed Usagi. "What are you doing out here,Usahi-chan??"asked Mamoru. "Nothing..." *Thinking of you!!*shouted her mind."Where's Natsumi-chan?" "Cleaning her dress I guess.."replied Mamoru nonchalantly. "So how come you're out here??"asked Usagi curiously. "Oh...I just needed some air."lied Mamoru.*To find you!!"screamed his mind. "I see.."said Usagi. "So..."they both began simultaneously. They stared at each other and broke out laughing. Suddenly,Usagi lost her footing from laughing so hard.Of course..Mamoru caught her... Blushing furiously,Usagi stammered out an apology...cursing herself for klutzing out. "S-Sorr..."began Usagi. But as she looked up,her eyes met his familliar deep blue ones....both mesmerized by each other....unconsciously,Mamoru tightened his hold on her waist possesively.But Usagi didn't notice....she was only aware of his warm breath,tickling her lips.,causing her senses to go wild..... Slowly,their lips met..gently at first....then,each was kissing each other desperately...Mamoru held on to her waist whilst Usagi's arms had unconsciously snaked themselves around his neck,her fingers tangling with his silky coal black hair. It was probably a good long while before the pair broke away for air.... Still holding on to each other...they stared at eah other's eyes.... "Usako..."whispered Mamoru. "Mamo-chan..."whispered Usagi breathlessly.Her heart was performing somersaults...her stomach felt as if it had butterflies flitting around in them.*Usako..he's called me Usako...his bunny...!!!*screamed her mind... still slightly fuzzy from the delicious kiss.... "Usako..."groaned Mamoru again."I love you...."he whispered as he planted a small butterfly kiss on her exposed shoulder. Usagi shivered at the delicious tremors running up and down her spine. Then...her mind registered what he'd said...*He loves me!!* Her heart thudded at her ribcage at an unhealthy rate. "Mamo-chan..."whispered Usagi as she stared at him...drowning in his deep blue eyes... "Usako.." They kissed again...hungrily this time. "Mamo-chan...I love you!"exclaimed Usagi in a whisper as she stared up at his face. Mamoru felt oncoming tears of joy...shakily..he lifted a hand to trace the curve of her cheek and nose... "Usako...."he repeated again,touching delicate upturned nose. The couple stood under the tree as the moon shone up high in the sky. The stars twinkling slightly,winking at the couple.... Somewhere...up high... "Well....those two got together,like I told you!!You lost the bet!!" "Oh be quite Cupid.I'd like to watch this scene a little longer."said a voice testily. "Don't be so nasty Destiny."came a laughing voice."You did lose..." "Don't need to remind me Providence."bit out Destiny. "Shush all of you!!They're gonna kiss again!!"exclaimed another voice. Sweatdrop.... "Fate!!" Cupid rolled his eyes at the three arguing siblings...smiling down at the couple he sighed.. "Cupid!!"boomed a voice.
