The Reason (for this page)
My main reason for starting up this page was to show Toshinden Subaru to you, the die-hard otakus. Why? Because chances are that this little gem-of-the-series isn't going to show up on our side, and that's a shame. Unlike the previous Toshinden games that have only been released in Japan, this one actually plays a fundamental part in the series storyline, and you're missing out BIG TIME if you don't know what happens in this game. I personally found this to be one of the best gaming experiences of my life (it being a new - and GOOD - TSD game, after all ^_~), and I wanted to fill it in for the fans who aren't going to get to play it. So my main reason for opening this page was to bring the game to you. Now, please note that this is the first time I have ventured out on creating a full-coverage game page, so if I'm doing anything wrong, humour me ^_^ After all, I've been working my ass off to get things done around here (notably back in the middle of January, when I took over 100 Bitmap TSD4 arts, converted them to JPEG and thumbnailed them in less than two hours), so I hope it's appreciated. And I'm glad to say I've gotten lots of great comments already -- thanks to everyone who let me know what they think. It keeps me going ^_^ Of course, this wasn't only MY work; I've had a lot of help as well. My main thanks goes out to Rouin Ryuusui, who, as I mentioned before, is god of all things Toshinden Subaru ^_^ (I'm not fluent in Japanese, so I honestly didn't have a clue about what was going on until Rouin-sama translated it all for me ^^;;) We actually had sort of a rivalry going in the late summer about who would get a Toshinden Subaru page done first, but he graciously let me do mine ahead of his, contributing any information, pictures and translations I needed -- and he still does fork over stuff for me to use, especially if I beg him really, really nicely ^_~ Thankies for everything, Rouin-sama ^_^ (Anyone who wants to learn how to actually PLAY the game, go read his kickass Toshinden Subaru FAQ) And even more thanks for help with this page go out to Hell Kitty (who was the first to break the news to me that Subaru was indeed Sho's son -- as I'd been claiming for months but NOBODY BELIEVED ME!! ^_~), Forman (kudos to Shoiryu for sending me his info) and his Toshinden Subaru FAQ, and Universe of the Four Gods, which is where I snaked the li'l pics of the Four Gods from. ^_^ Domo arigatou to all of you and anyone who's supported the revolution thus far, and may we find Kayin again!
