I said as I closed the door. I didn't want them to know... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Setsuna-mama is acting really strange..." said Hotaru, of two years old. "I know," agreed Michiru, staring at Haruka. "Leave her, she needs some distraction..." Hotaru watched by the window as she lost her figure. "I wonder where she goes every Saturday evening..." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I stared at the park. Suddenly I heard his steps. I turned, smelling his perfume... There he was, in front of me. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "It's too late!" cried Hotaru as the rain dropped in the window. "I'll go for her..." said Haruka, standing up as Michiru gave her a meaningful look. Then, Setsuna came in. She was all wet, and flushed. "Sorry I'm late." "We were worried!" Hotaru hugged her. Michiru's face showed relief and Haruka sat down again. Setsuna took Hotaru to her bed. "Where were you, Setsuna-mama?" "Walking in the park..." "So long? Um... That perfume... I know it..." She got asleep, and didn't saw Setsuna's flushed face. Setsuna returned to the living room. "Can't you tell us where were you?" asked Michiru. Setsuna sat by a window. "She was with a man..." said suddenly Haruka. Setsuna turned confused and blushed. "Who is him?" pleaded Michiru. Setsuna turned. "I can't tell..." "Did you sleep with him?" asked Haruka harshly. Setsuna left the room ashamed. "She did..." concluded Haruka, as Michiru sat worried at her side. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I entered my room and took a carnation, a white carnation. I passed it by my face. He had given it to me when I left his apartment... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Next day, Souichi Tomoe went to see his daughter. Hotaru hugged him dearly. He had accepted her being raised by the three Outer Senshi, but he came frequently to see Hotaru. He was a busy man, though. "Dad, I'm so glad you are here!" Michiru and Haruka had left for a moment. Setsuna prepared tea. When she was entering the room, she heard Hotaru's voice: "Marry? I don't want you to marry!" Setsuna let the cups to fell, by surprise. Hotaru came to her. "Setsuna-mama!" "Oh, my God, what did I do?" She was confused and blushed intensely. "What happened?" asked Souichi. Setsuna crossed his sight. Hotaru picked up the cups. "Setsuna-mama had an accident... Setsuna-mama, dad says he is thinking of marrying again! Tell him he must not do it!" Setsuna raised her face to Souichi's eyes. "Don't do it, for Hotaru's sake..." He stared at the floor while Hotaru and Setsuna continued picking up the pieces of cups. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hotaru... My daughter... I'll do everything for her, even if I had to suffer... I'll sacrifice him for her... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "She goes again..." Haruka stared at Michiru. "I'll follow her..." continued Hotaru, going out. Haruka jumped and grabbed her hand. "She'll be fine..." said Michiru. "She's a grown-up woman; she can take care of herself," assured Haruka. Hotaru nodded and saw how Setsuna disappeared of her sight. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He kissed me, and I felt my heart bleeding. "But her..." "Don't worry... If you wish to remain with me, it will be a secret. What she doesn't know won't hurt her..." "She's just a girl..." "She can't understand..." I saw I couldn't live without him... I had been alone so much time and now I had finally found love. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The earthquake woke Setsuna up. Michiru, Haruka and Hotaru joined her. Usagi called. "Girls, a black energy is covering the Earth!" They all transformed. When they saw the sky, it was all black. They all ran out and found the other Senshi. Usagi was really upset. Mamoru had Chibi-Usa in his arms. A woman, all in black, appeared. "I'm a new incarnation of Chaos, I have returned. I'll destroy this Earth..." Eternal Sailor Moon took her Silver Crystal out. "We'll not let you!" Everyone gave Usagi their power. The crystal shone with a wonderful light. The woman was destroyed. But all the Earth was covered with a kind of crystal ice. All the Senshi fell asleep. Usagi fell at her husband's and daughter's side... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Crystallisation has come... at last. We'll sleep centuries, till the 30th century comes...I'll use this time to dream and remember... ...I was in my chamber, after I had stopped time to save Uranus and Neptune. Small Lady had just said goodbye to her dear Helios. They had had lot of adventures... But one day I felt danger in the air. I saw Hotaru with Souichi... Her energy was needed. I went to Tomoe's house. He was staring at his baby lovingly. I went near them, and for first time, I saw inside his eyes. "Dr. Tomoe, do you remember what happened?" He saw me. I turned into Sailor Pluto, and with my eyes, gave him back his memories. He started to cry as he remembered the death of his wife and daughter, and Hotaru's possession by Mistress 9. He looked at me. "It hurts, but thank you..." He looked into my eyes and I blushed. I had only felt that emotion with King Endymion, but I had always known he was not for me. But now, it seemed there was yet another man, prohibited for me, touching my heart. "You are the guardian of time, Pluto. I heard your voice when Neptune and Uranus took me out of my possession... You helped them." "I did... An evil spirit is coming to Earth... The power of Saturn is needed once more..." "Hotaru..." "I want to take her. I'll raise her with Neptune and Uranus." He looked at his daughter deeply. "You'll take good care of her?" "Sure...” He smiled. "Let me see her soon." "Of course..." I took Hotaru in my arms and left. Soon, I met the girls, and we had a fight with a Mirror Parody. Hotaru grew up quickly. After Galaxia had been defeated, I saw Souichi several times. First, we only talked of Hotaru. But as time passed, we talked about lot of things. Even though he started to come to visit Hotaru at home, we still met each other every Saturday in the park. One day, I was really sad, because Small Lady had left again, this time, forever. I was crying. As I told him everything, he started his face towards mine. I don't know how it happened, but then I was kissing him. Since that day, we used Saturday's to be together and love each other. I didn't knew how, but our love had been born. The day I got late home, when it was raining, I was in his apartment. Haruka had guessed what had happened... I realised it was late so I decided to leave. He gave me a carnation, as a roof of love. I have it in my hands, while I'm crystallised... I didn't knew how to tell Hotaru. I had heard her say so many times that she missed her real mom, Keiko. But when I heard she didn't wanted her dad to marry again, we decided to love in secret, more time than we had though we will. I love him so much, but I can't just hurt Hotaru. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When Setsuna opened her eyes, the rest were still asleep. "The 30th century has arrived..." She raised her staff and the crystal on her started to crash. The rest of the Sailor Senshi started to wake-up. "The centuries have passed..." said Setsuna. Everyone hugged each other. Mamoru saw how Usagi opened her eyes. Her Eternal Sailor Moon suit had changed to Neo-Queen Serenity's dress. Pluto came to her. "Use the silver crystal to wake everyone in Earth..." Usagi took the crystal and its light covered Earth. People started to awake and ice left. The houses remained in ice crystal colour, though. Everyone surrounded the group. "Be our Queen and King..." "We'll give you the throne..." The destiny became true. A year later, the crystal palace had been built and Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion ruled. Small Lady had five years old. The Inner Senshi each had a room in the palace. But the Outer Senshi were sent to a frontier of Crystal Tokyo for a couple of years, to help built the city. That was the reason why Small Lady didn't knew them till she returned finally from her time travels. They returned to the palace at that time. Setsuna set her room, as all the Outer Senshi had been placed in the Crystal Palace. Hotaru came in. "I found him!" She had a body of a 10 year-old-girl (one year older than Chibi-Usa). Souichi entered. Setsuna blushed. "I had been looking for him since the Awakening. He came here at last!" Hotaru was flushed of happiness. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When we met again, we both felt our love returned. I discovered later, that Hotaru had arranged a room for him in the palace. I went there when my services weren't needed. I always used my Setsuna Meiou's identity those times... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pluto entered the room, where all the Senshi had been called. Serenity was at the middle. She started. "I have decided that according to the Silver Millennium's law, no Sailor Senshi is allowed to get married. It's because of the danger their work represents. You may have sweethearts, lovers or boyfriends, of course..." A kind of reaction passed over all. Uranus and Neptune took each other's hand. Hotaru didn't seemed to care and just waited her parents to leave. The Inner Senshi looked at each other. Mars came forward. "We accept your decision, Serenity, for the best of our kingdom..." Pluto nodded, and left with Hotaru. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When everyone approved the law, another thing separated Souichi and me. The next day I saw him, Hotaru had told him. We didn't care and kissed. Years passed. Hotaru and Chibi-Usa turned to 12 and 13 years respectively. My affair continued. Suddenly, one day, the Lost Sailor Senshi appeared. They had also being sleeping. Sailor Andromeda finally confessed Serenity, that she was her cousin Selene. As part of the royal family, Serenity told her, and her team, to live in the palace. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Megumi/Andromeda smiled, and asked where she could marry her boyfriend, Ryo. Serenity informed her about the law. The Lost Sailor Senshi didn't accepted it and left the kingdom, building a palace in the frontier. Serenity was depressed. Selene wanted the law to be nullified. Some battles started between the Sailor Senshi. Hotaru and Small Lady joined the Lost Sailor Senshi's side. Serenity was desperate. The Sailor Wars were dangerous for the stability of the kingdom. Serenity called Pluto. "Setsuna, help me... What should I do?" " Do what your heart says..." The figure of ancient Queen Serenity appeared. "My daughter, if the law continues, the Senshi will destroy each other. The Inners and Outers want to stop the Lost, because they have what they lack of. If the law continues, the Senshi will hate the kingdom and finally rebel..." "But I got the law from your past..." "The past can be mistaken..." Pluto smiled. "The law is nullified!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Sailor Wars ended that day. Soon Rei married Yuuichirou, Ami had Ryo, Mako discovered love from her friend Shinozaki, and Minako married an Alaska policeman, Aiichiro. Meanwhile, I had some tests taken by Mercury... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Setsuna..." "What's up, Ami? Am I sick or something...?" "Setsuna, you are pregnant..." Setsuna's face whitened. "Ami, please don't tell anyone..." "Sure... But soon everyone will notice. You'll better talk to the father..." "I know." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When I told him, his face enlightened. "It's great! Now we MUST marry!" I turned. "But Hotaru?" "She's a grown-up girl. She'll understand..." I smiled. We were kissing, when Hotaru's voice was heard. "Not now... we must tell her in a better place..." I pleaded Souichi. He nodded and I hid in his closet. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hi, dear." "Dad!" She hugged him and smelled something. "That's a woman's fragrance!" Souichi became pale. "You were with a woman! Is she still here?" She started to look in the room. Setsuna was nervous. Suddenly, Hotaru opened the closet. Her eyes widened. "Setsuna... Mama...how...?" "Hotaru..." said both of them. "How could you betray me?!" She ran out crying. "Hotaru!" shouted Setsuna, going for her. Souichi grabbed her arm. "Leave her alone." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hotaru was by the sea, Small Lady at her side. "I can't believe Puu and your dad..." "She lied to me! I can't believe that they both hid it from me..." "They must love each other a lot, to hide it so much time. You told me you had thought your dad had a lover even before de Crystallisation... " "It doesn't matter..." She left. Chibi-Usa looked at her, but didn't followed her steps. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When I reached Hotaru, she was in one of our crystal parks. "Hotaru..." "Leave me... You hid me you loved him..." I felt so sad. "I didn't want to hurt you... We start loving each other as we talked about you..." "You lied to me..." She turned crying. I was so hurt by her reaction. "Hotaru..." "I'll never forgive you, Miss Meiou." That hurt me more... Nor Setsuna, nor Setsuna-mama, nor Puu...just Miss Meiou. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Something appeared in front of them. It was a shadow like Chaos. "I'm Erebus, one of the remaining spirits formed by Chaos..." They looked at each other, and transformed. "Dead...Scream!" The attack was weak, though; she was pregnant. Erebus threw a ray to Hotaru, and she fell by a tree. Erebus intended to attack again. Setsuna jumped in front of Hotaru. "I'll not let him hurt you..." "Setsuna-mama..." Erebus laughed and threw a ray. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A second later, I opened my eyes. I was still alive! Souichi was in front of me, he had received the ray. "I can't let you, or our baby, die..." "Souichi..." "Dad!" I stood up. "I'll stop time...kill him then..." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "You'll die if you do that!" said Hotaru. "I have no other choice..." answered Setsuna. "Silence Glaive Sur..." "No! You'll die if you do that!" "But you won't..." Erebus looked at them with a weird look. "Souichi will suffer if you die..." "So will he if you do, and my little sibling..." "You know..." "Dad just said 'our baby'..." "Can't you stop it?" said a voice. Small Lady appeared in her Super Sailor Moon suit. "The enemy is running away..." They looked at Erebus, who was going to the palace. "Leave your problems at home. Moon Gorgeous Meditation!" Erebus was destroyed. Souichi opened his eyes. "Setsuna... Hotaru..." They smiled to each other. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There have been seven months since that happened. I'm in the hospital. Ami, Souichi and Hotaru are supposed to come now. Hotaru entered first. "She is here!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Setsuna grabbed her baby. She was so beautiful. Souichi kissed Setsuna, as she had the baby in her arms. Ami smiled. "And how are you going to call her?" "She'll have two names... Setsuna chose them," said Souichi. Setsuna looked at Hotaru "She'll be Nintai Keiko... Patience's Blessing..." Hotaru smiled. "Nintai Keiko... Hi! I'm your big sister: Hotaru..." Nintai smiled. Small Lady entered. "So this is the future Sailor Pluto... Oh she is so gorgeous... So wonderful..." Souichi kissed his little daughter's forehead. Hotaru took Setsuna's hand. "The present Sailor Pluto is wonderful, Usa. She is my mother..." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I smiled at Hotaru as she hugged me. I finally had a family.
