It is the day of the skating match, and Ranma still doesn't skate very well, but who cares? After repeated attempts by Mikado to kiss Akane, a very angry Ranma announces his engagement with Akane. Who will win P-chan...and Akane's first kiss?
Mikado and Azusa use their unbeatable "Separation Wheel" to try and separate Akane and Ranma, but Ranma holds on to the end, thus, gets badly hurt. P-chan escapes from the judges' table, and suddenly, there's a blackout, and Ryouga and Ranma-chan are now in the ring! After another round of the "Separation Wheel", Ryouga accidentally breaks up the ice in the ring, so that the ring has now become a "ice-and-cold-water" skating ring!
The match continues...and now it's become a match between Ryouga and Ranma-chan for Akane! Mikado and Azusa are thrown out of the ring, and Akane enters, trying to stop the two of them from fighting, but falls into the water. Anxious for her safety, Ranma-chan and Ryouga jump into the cold water...
Akane awakes to find herself in the dressing room, with Ranma-chan and P-chan shivering. Just then, a huge crater appears in the wall, and in barges a pretty, purple-haired chinese girl by the name Shampoo. She is a Chinese Amazon defeated by Ranma-chan when she was in China, and according to the rules of her village, she must give Ranma-chan the "kiss of death", and chase Ranma-chan to the ends of the earth, and kill her...
