Then Ranma meets a terrible psycotic person, the Black Rose of St. Herbeke High! Akane is challenged to a rhythmic gymnastic meet. Can she win with Ryouga's help?
Akane practices late into the night. However, her movements are hardly graceful...Tired out, she lies on her bed, only to find Black Rose staring down at her from the ceiling! Black Rose is defeated, but on her way home, she gets hit by Ranma, who was in a hurry to catch P-chan, or Ryouga. Ranma saves her, but she falls in love with him, and Akane gets the wrong idea...
The match then gets personal. And the prize for the winner of the gymnastic meet is Ranma! Kuno, of course, is happy to find Kodachi, or Black Rose, likes Ranma...because Kodachi is his sister! The day before the match, Akane sprains her ankle whilst practicing, so Ranma-chan has to go in her place. Ryouga offers to train her, but it turns out he wants to get Ranma out of the way so that he can win Akane's heart. They fight till dawn, then Ranma rushes off to the meeting place, still in a daze.
An exciting match begins. Kodachi makes use of Ryouga by chaining him to Ranma, thus obstructing Ranma's movements. Kodachi then makes use of her special gymnastic equipment--ropes that are actually pieces of wood, bats with spikes on them, and hula-hoops that have razor-sharp edges! When all fails, Kodachi starts using things like her brother, the judges' table, and finally, a kettle of boiling water! Ranma and P-chan eye the kettle closely, but still get scalded by the hot water. Just as they are reverting their true form, Akane rushes in with some water, and Ranma manages to throw Kodachi out of the ring. But the ring moves, and Kodachi lands in the ring! They soon find out that the gymnastic team of St. Herbeke High is hiding under the ring, ready to move the ring at Kodachi's signal. The canvas covering the frame of the ring is torn off, and the match continues. With one powerful kick, Ranma broke the pillar Kodachi was standing on, thus winning the match. But Kodachi wants to find a new Ranma, and Ranma-chan collapses.
It is a new day, and Akane and her friends are enjoying themselves at the ice-skating ring. But P-chan goes missing, and is found by Azusa. Akane rushes off to the nearby restaurant to look for Ranma, and finds Azusa, Mikado and P-chan in the restaurant as well. Mikado gives P-chan back to Akane, but the price, is a kiss. Ranma gets angry, and Mikado and Azusa challenge Ranma and Akane to an ice-skating match, Akane and Azusa for P-chan, and Ranma and Mikado for Akane's first kiss. They find out too late that Mikado and Azusa are the Golden Pair of the ice-skating ring. Ryouga offers to take part also, but as it turns out, Ranma and Ryouga can hardly stand on ice, much less ice-skate...
