Gendo Ikari (Gene Icarus in Amercian). What a punk ass mo-fo. Why on Earth would anyone want to please this jerk-off? If Shinji was Amercian, he would have either kicked dear old daddy's ass or gone on Jerry Springer! Yeah, he was smart enough to marry Yui Ikari and found NERV, but this clone loving padre won't be winning any "Father of the year Awards" any time soon. This guy is so bad, Four wants in on the JSSDF raid on NERV just to watch old Gendo go down.
Let's see...arrogant, blinded by his own ambitions and estranged from his young son. Where have we heard that before??? DANGER GloryNight readers...it's John Robinson ..aka William Hurt..all over again! This is a guy who breathes arrogance into every character he plays (check out the tabloid reporter in "Michael"). He can do brillant and has made quite a home for himself in the Sci-Fi world. So look out Mr. Hurt...if you do this role as well as we think you can, you'll be getting hate mail!
Kaji Ryoji, (Kyle Royal). This is the MAN ...lover, spy ,sugar daddy and better looking than Don Johnson back in the early 80's! Every anime fan wants to be like this guy..cool, witty, smart and a babe magnet.
So who would you get to play this dude?
FOOLED YA!! Bet you were thinking Matt LeBlanc (since we seem to like a lot of the" Lost in Space" cast for this movie ), but NOPE! Its Bruce Campbel ("Xena" and "Army of Darkness"). He's a funny, smart ass with that twinkle in his eyes..exactly the type to hit on Misato! Not drop dead gorgeous, but (at least according to Avalon.) good looking with a lot of playful sensuality (whatever THAT means).
Besides, you know we'd find a way for him to tell Tamlyn Tomeita to "Give me some sugar baby!".
