Claire de Lune

Enter Star Navigators

Overture
The Perfect Getaway For Two

It was early summer, and Serena was walking down the street past the park,
thinking, "Now that school's out for the summer, I'd love to go somewhere
really romantic with Darien, but where?" Just then something caught her
eye. She was sure the girl sitting on that park bench hadn't been there a
minute ago. "Oh no," she wined, "I thought maybe the Negaverse would take a
break over the summer!" She called the others on her communicator and told
them to meet her in the park, then, "Moon Crystal Power!" she transformed
into Sailor Moon. Being as quiet as she clumsily could, (no point in taking
unnecessary risks when the monster hadn't yet attacked) she snuck up behind
the girl. "She doesn't look like a monster," Sailor Moon thought to
herself, "in fact, I think she's crying!" Just then she stepped right on a
twig, which rolled under her foot and sent her tumbling to the ground with a
loud crash. The girl jumped up from the park bench, looking around with a
hunted expression just as the other Sailor Scouts arrived with Luna and Artemis.
"Sailor Moon!" admonished Luna, "What are you doing just sitting there?!"
Sailor Moon picked herself up and said, "That's the girl who appeared out
of thin air!"
"I don't sense any bad vibes from her," said Mars, "Are you sure you
weren't just bored and wanted some excitement, and so let your eyes play
tricks on you?"
"Be serious, Mars," Mercury laughed, "this is Sailor Moon we're talking about!"
"Oh, yeah, I guess I forgot for a second there." said Sailor Mars.
Meanwhile the "Negaverse monster" was looking around, very confused.
Finally she spoke. "I don't know what all this is about, but would you
please all just go away so I can sit here and contemplate the pointlessness
of men, love, and life in general in peace and quiet?"
"No, we won't." said Sailor Jupiter, "WE want to know how you suddenly
appeared here out of thin air!"
"Oh, no," groaned the girl, "I've been seen." She promptly sat back down
on the park bench and started once more to cry quietly. "Now it's really
all over. I don't suppose I could persuade you to not tell anyone about
this and forget you even saw anything could I?"
They all looked at each other, confused.
"I didn't think so. Well, in that case, I guess I'll have to take you
somewhere more private and explain all this to you." Having said this, she
concentrated for a moment, then six girls and two talking cats vanished as
quickly as she had appeared five minutes earlier.
When the Scouts opened their eyes, they were in an open, grassy meadow
bounded by pine and hemlock trees.
"Where are we?" asked Sailor Venus, "And just who are you anyway?"
"In answer to your first question;" said the girl, "this is Gambier Island,
on the southwest coast of British Columbia."
Sailor Moon looked confused, "British Columbia?" she whispered to Sailor
Mercury, "Where's that?"
"On the west coast of Canada, all the way across the Pacific Ocean!"
Mercury whispered back with a kind of awe in her voice.
"Yes," the girl confirmed, "you're a long way from home, but don't worry,
I'll take you back. Now, to your second question, who am I anyway, my name
is Elwing."
They all waited patiently. Finally Artemis asked, "Is that it, you don't
have a surname?"
"I did once," answered Elwing, "but not anymore. It's a long story, and
not the one I intend to tell today." She motioned them all to sit down on
the grass, then looked again at what they were wearing. "I don't suppose
you want to sit on the grass in skirts like that, do you?" she said, "Why
not change into something a little more practical?" She waved her hand at
them and each girl reverted to her "real" persona. Now it was their turn to
look mortified.
"I don't suppose you'll keep our secret? Will you please!" entreated Amy.
	"Of course I will...?"
"Amy. And this is Serena, Raye, Lita, Mina, Luna, and Artemis." she said,
pointing to each in turn.
"Alright then Amy, I'll keep your secret. And yours too, Luna, I saw you
were about to ask." Elwing seated herself on the ground, and the others
followed suit.
"What were you doing in Tokyo?" asked Raye.
"It's a safe place to mope," answered Elwing, "for some reason no one
notices me there. Usually." she added with a smile to Serena. "What I
think you're really interested is how I got there, and how I brought you here."
	"Yes, do tell."said Luna.
"I don't know why I in particular have this power, but I can pull energy in
from around me, channel it, and release it to do almost anything I can
imagine. That's how I got to Tokyo, and how I brought you here."
"You're sure you don't know where this power came from?" asked Amy.
"Quite sure." Answered Elwing, "I started to notice it when I was about
twelve, and , with constant practice, have arrived at the point that I can
cause anything I want to happen. I can't control people, though, much
though I might wish that power sometimes."
"I can imagine," sympathized Mina, "especially if you wanted someone to
like you, as a friend or otherwise."
"Indeed." confirmed Elwing, "that's the very thing I was moping about in
that park. Because I am 'weird' and my talent makes me reclusive and
secretive, and because I am naturally shy, guys generally act as though I
don't exist. This is, I think, reason enough to mope, don't you agree?"
"No kidding!" exclaimed Lita, "But this place is so beautiful, Why not come
here?"
"Because this is where I come when I'm happy." she answered.
Serena had been deep in thought this whole time. "You know," she said,
half to herself, "this would be a wonderful place to come with Darien."
"You're welcome to visit here anytime." invited Elwing.
"But how would we get here?' asked Amy
"If you hang around for a bit, I'll get to know your mental aura,"
explained Elwing, "then, when you want to get my attention, you need only to
think of wanting to see me, and I'll come. Now, who wants to go swimming?"
"I'd love to!" said Mina, "But I don't have a bathing suit!"
	Elwing laughed.
Mina looked confused for a second, then realized what she'd just said after
being told their host could do almost anything she could imagine. "I guess
that's not really a concern for you, is it?" she asked.
"No, not really. What bathing suit would you like? Just picture one, and
I'll make it."
Each of them pictured a bathing suit. Elwing concentrated for a minute,
then they were all wearing bathing suits, ad their cloths were folded neatly
in front of them on top of a beach towel in their aura colour (green, blue,
orange, red, and pink).
"What are we supposed to do while you girls are off enjoying yourselves?"
asked Artemis.
"Well," Said Elwing, "my two cats usually curl up and sleep in the shade on
days like this. What do you normally do on your own? I can even provide
you with books whose pages will turn on their own, and you can read if you
want."
"We'll find something to do." said Luna, giving Artemis a strange look, "
you just go off and enjoy yourselves."
Elwing smiled then, and said, "Follow me, the beach is this way." Then she
headed off down the hill, with the five scouts trouping along behind her.
Luna and Artemis watched them leave, then wandered off in another
direction, into the forest.

When they got to the beach, everyone ran into the water and started swimming.
Later on, Serena came up to Elwing as they were drying off in the sun. "Do
you think we could go home soon? I'm having lots of fun, but I promised
Darien I'd see him this afternoon."
"Of course." said Elwing, "Why don't you go get changed, and I'll tell the
others."
Serena headed back up to the cabin, and Elwing went over to talk to the
other girls. "Serena wants to go home soon, so she can see Darien," she
explained, "but not everyone has to go back at the same time. You can stay
longer if you want."
"What about Luna and Artemis?" asked Lita.
"I can call them if you want to go," answered Elwing, "they're in the
forest behind the meadow."
The girls talked among themselves for a minute. "We'll stay for a bit
longer, if you don't mind," said Raye, "It's so pretty here, and so peaceful."
Elwing left them on the beach, and went up to the cabin, where she met
Serena, now changed out of her bathing suit. The other girls watched as
Serena and Elwing vanished.

Meanwhile, in a glade in the forest, Luna and Artemis were lying on the
moss, talking.
"But Luna!" Artemis complained, "You're confusing me. When you were
talking with Elwing, it seemed like you wanted to be romantic in this
beautiful place."
"I did, you're right, but suddenly I'm not feeling very well. I'd like to
go back."
"Alright Luna,"said Artemis, sounding slightly concerned, "I'll walk with
you to get the girls. Maybe Elwing will be able to figure out what's wrong."
As they walked on, Luna got slower and slower. Finally her legs gave out,
and she lay on the ground under a spreading maple on the edge of the meadow
where they had arrived.
"Come on Luna," cajoled Artemis, "I'm sure it's not far to the beach."
"Maybe not," admitted Luna, "but I simply can't go any further."
"I don't like this." Artemis thought to himself, "It's too sudden, I think
something's terribly wrong." To Luna he simply said, "Wait here then, I'll
run and get the girls." Artemis ran off in the direction of the beach, and
just missed seeing a large flea jump off Luna and continue to grow as she
got weaker and weaker.
When Artemis got to the beach, he saw the four girls. Mina immediately
noticed that he seemed to be unusually agitated.
	"Artemis!" she exclaimed, "What's wrong?"
"It's Luna," he gasped, "She's not well."
"What's wrong with her?" asked Lita, sounding worried.
"I don't know," admitted Artemis, "she suddenly became very weak and wanted
to come back to the cabin, then collapsed at the edge of the meadow. It's
not normal, I think it's the Negaverse."
	"Here?' asked Raye.
'We're wasting time talking!" complained Artemis, getting more agitated
with every second of delay that jeopardised the cat he cared about (though
he would never admit such a thing to the scouts, who wasted enough time
worrying about love as it was) "Where's Serena?"
"She's not here." explained Amy, "Elwing took her back home, because she
has a date with Darien this afternoon, and Elwing isn't back yet."
"We'd better just transform now, and call Elwing the way she taught us to."
said Mina, noticing Artemis' distress.
They all transformed: "Mercury Star Power!" "Mars Star Power!" "Jupiter
Star Power!" "Venus Star Power!", and ran off following Artemis.

Meanwhile, Elwing was being introduced to Darien who, Serena assured her,
would keep her secret.
"Fascinating." Said Darien, "And you say you can do anything you want with
this power?"
"Almost anything, within certain very strict guidelines. I cannot, for
example, change someone's opinions, or make things not exist anymore; and
many things make me tired."
"Still, it's a fairly amazing power." said Darien.
"Yes," she agreed, "in fact..." She suddenly seemed to listening to a
distant voice.
	"What is it?" asked Serena.
"We have trouble." stated Elwing. "That was Mina, she wanted us to get
back to Gambier, and she seemed very concerned about something."
"I'll come along with you if you don't mind." said Darien, "I'd like to see
this place, and maybe I can be of some help."
"Of course." said Elwing, "It sounded urgent, so we should go now, okay?"
They both nodded. "Alright then, here we go."

Back on Gambier, the four Sailor Scouts were vainly trying to get past the
Negaverse Flea, which had, by this time, grown enormous, and was guarding
Luna, who now seemed to be in a coma.
"It's growing in direct proportion to the energy it's absorbing from Luna."
Mercury exclaimed, looking at the readout on her VR visor.
Just then, Elwing, Serena, and Darien arrived.
"Serena, transform quickly!" sailor Mars yelled, as she jumped out of the
way of the monster's thin projectile lines.
Serena transformed: "Moon Crystal Power!", and, in the vulnerable moments
just after transformation, was snagged by one of the projectile lines.
Immediately, she began to loose energy. Faster than Elwing could think what
to do, Darien transformed into Tuxedo Mask, and threw one of his roses,
cutting through the line and freeing Sailor Moon, who fell to the ground,
drained almost completely of energy. Elwing knew what to do immediately.
Sailor Moon needed energy now, or they wouldn't be able to defeat the
monster, which was now bigger than ever. She ran over to where Sailor Moon
had fallen and kneeled by her, erecting a shield around the two of them so
the monster couldn't get them with any more lines. She placed her hands on
Sailor Moon's heart and forehead and, using her body as a conduit, drew in
energy from all around her and replaced that which Sailor Moon had lost.
When she was finished she could barely stand, but Sailor Moon was well
again. She removed the shield, and told Sailor Moon, "Attack it now, before
it has a chance to hit you again."
Sailor Moon nodded, then used her moon sceptre: "Moon Sceptre
Elimination!". The Flea screamed as it was quickly reduced to shimmering
dust, which sifted away on the wind. Everyone ran to Luna.
"Are you feeling alright Luna?" Artemis asked as she awoke.
	"Still very weak." she replied.
"Let me through," said Elwing, "I can help." She once again placed her
hands over heart and forehead and replaced the stolen energy. "The danger
appears to be gone now." she said.
The scouts and Tux all reverted to their "real" personas, and Amy asked
Elwing, "Are you okay? You look pale."
"I'm fine," answered Elwing, "Just a little bit tired. Replacing the
energy takes a lot out of me. Don't worry, though, I just need to rest for
a bit, then I'll be back to normal."

They all split off into groups. Amy, Mina, Lita, and Raye wanted to swim
some more, since they were in their bathing suits; Serena and Darien decided
to go off for a row; Luna and Artemis went off into the forest again; and
Elwing went to take a little nap before she joined the swimmers.
When they got back to the grove they had been in before, Luna and Artemis
curled up next to each other in a patch of filtered sunlight, and Artemis
started washing Luna's mask to calm both of them down from the frightening
situation they had just been in. "You're sure you're alright now, Luna?" he
asked.
"Yes," she answered drowsily, "Elwing gave me back all the energy which was
stolen from me, now why don't we have a little nap in this perfect getaway
for two."
	"Alright," agreed Artemis.
They curled up together, head to flank, in a perfect representation of a
yinyang and went to sleep.

FIN.

Chapter One
A New Chapter Begins

A week later, Elwing and the Sailor Scouts were sitting around talking at
Raye's temple.
"You said you used to have a different name, that it was a long story."
said Mina, "I think we have time enough today, and I, for one, am interested
to hear it."
"Well, I was born Claire Delune, but it always seemed wrong, somehow. I
spent years looking at names in books to find my 'right' name for my
initiation ceremony. When I found the name Elwing, I knew it was mine. I
took it as my craft name at initiation when I was thirteen, and since I
graduated from high school it has been how I introduce myself."
	"Initiation? Craft name?" asked Serena.
"What does Elwing mean? Where is it from?" asked Amy.
Elwing laughed and shook her head. "I told you it's a long story!
Initiation is when a child is allowed to participate in all religious
ceremonies, and a craft name is the adult name one takes at that time. As
to where my name came from..."She started to explain, then stopped
midsentence. "Sorry about that," she said after "listening" for a minute,
"that was Caiona, she gets a little shrill if she's not fed on time. Luna,
Artemis, have I your permission to bring her here and give her her dinner;
otherwise she'll just keep pestering me until she gets what she wants. I'll
tell her to be on her best behaviour, and send her home as soon as she's
finished, I promise."
Luna and Artemis exchanged confused glances. "Why ask us?" asked Artemis,
"And just who is this 'Caiona' that she can't feed herself, anyway?"
"Caiona is my familiar cat, and she can feed herself, but she prefers to
have me feed her, she says it strengthens our bond."
"Your cat TALKS!" exclaimed Luna, shocked.
"Not the same way you do." answered Elwing, "We talk mind to mind. That's
what I meant about strengthening our bond."
"Go right ahead and give her her dinner, then." Artemis told her.
Elwing concentrated for a second, then a sealpoint Siamese cat appeared on
her lap. The cat looked at her for a second with a rather scathing
expression in her face.
"Yes, dear, of course I was going to introduce you." She went around the
circle of girls, giving Caiona a formal introduction to each. When she got
to Luna, there was a flash of intense white light between the two cats.
Everyone jumped backward, and Elwing dropped Caiona reflexively. As the
scene swam back into focus over its afterimages, Caiona was standing alone
in the centre of the room, and there was now a crescent moon bleached into
the fur of her forehead. Suddenly she spoke up, "Thank you, Luna, my dear
cousin, I have been sleeping far too long."
Everyone looked extremely confused. "I think some kind of explanation is
in order here." said Elwing, "Why haven't you talked before?'
" I just told you," said Caiona, "Luna just woke me up. The part of me
which could talk was sleeping," She walked over to Serena. "Princess," she
said, kneeling with her front paws, "I hereby renew my pledge to you and
your court, to seek out and teach the Star Navigators."
Serena looked a little confused, but nodded, seemingly unconsciously.
" I will begin my mission," Caiona continued, "by now revealing the leader
of the Star Navigators." She walked over to Elwing, did a backflip, then
gave her a green power stick with a crescent moon around a purple pentagram.
"Take this in your hand and say 'Elwing Navigator Power!' and you will
become your true self." she instructed.
The scouts all looked expectantly at her. She lifted up the stick and said
"Elwing Navigator Power!" She was surrounded by ribbons of purple light,
and then she was in a sailor outfit with a purple skirt and green bows. Her
hair was swirled up into a braided coronet, and the last ribbon of energy
became a silver tiara with an amethyst pentagram on it. The scouts all
admired her, then she detransformed, looking a little stunned. "Okay," she
said to Caiona, "I want an explanation right now!"
Caiona started out by explaining to her about the silver millennium, then
moved on to specifics; "in Serenity's court, there was a group of thirteen
good witches known as the Star Navigators. Their mission was to assist the
Sailor Scouts through the channelling of energy. Each of them had a
specialty, and yours was teleportation. You are their leader, Sailor Elwing."
What about you?" asked Amy, "What's your story? You called Luna 'cousin'
but how are you related?"
"Me?" replied Caiona, "Well, you always were the inquisitive one, Princess
Mercury..."
"Please, call me Amy." she interjected
"Amy it is, then." Caiona continued, "My mother and Luna's mother were
sisters, and part of the same matriarchal ruling family. Luna and I trained
together under the guidance of our maternal grandmother, Gaia. Luna was
sent to advise the Queen, and I was sent to help guide the Star Navigators."
"But why don't I remember any of this?" asked Elwing, anguished, "I'm
trying to remember, but I can't! Everything sounds right, but I just can't
remember!"
"Luna," asked Artemis, "could you use the Luna Mind-Meld on her, to help
her recover her memories of the Silver Millennium?"
"Of course." answered Luna. She went and sat in front of Elwing, and began
the Luna Mind-Meld.
Elwing's eyes went blank, and she began to speak in a trance-like manner.
"Yes, I am remembering now, I was Duchess Elwing and cousin to Princess
Serena, the daughter of her father's sister. From the day I was old enough
I became her personal protector. I was aided and supported by my coven, the
other Star Navigators. We were all trained in sorcery and sworn to defend
the Sailor Scouts. On the day of the attack, we were prevented from doing
our duty through treachery. Someone in the palace put sleeping potions in
our food, and we never awoke." She said this last with shame in her voice,
the dispassionate nature of the Mind-Meld weakening in the face of such
strong emotion. Luna pulled away, and the Mind-meld was broken. "Thank
you, Luna"said Elwing, back to normal now, with just a trace of tears in her
eyes, "Now I must find the other Star Navigators, and awaken them, then I
can once more do my full duty."
Suddenly Serena spoke up. "Cousin," she said, in her confident, princess
voice, "you need feel no shame for your perceived failure to protect me."
Then she looked around, confused, "Where did that come from?" she asked no
one in particular.
"Serena's right."chimed in Raye, causing everyone to stare gape-jawed at
her, "We couldn't protect the Princess, and we were there at the time!" The
Scouts all nodded.
Elwing looked at her dual time watch, and realized that it was nearly time
for her to get home to Victoria before she was missed. "I just realized , I
have to go now." she told the Scouts
"And I never did get my dinner." Caiona complained, lightheartedly, "I
expect full treatment when we get home!"
"Speaking of which, I'll have to do something about that crescent, or Mom
will have a fit and say that I've used peroxide on your head!" They all
laughed, and the scouts waved goodbye to the newly revealed navigator.

Back at home, Elwing made a quick illusion so that normal people wouldn't
be able to see the crescent on Caiona's forehead. It was a modified
illusion, though, so anyone from the Silver Millennium could see it, and
recognise her as a Guardian. Caiona, after extensive complaining in "cat"
eventually did get her dinner, and the evening continued just as usual.
>From the outside, one would never have guessed that the girl who sat
stroking her Siamese cat had just learned that she was instrumental in the
future of the universe.
The next day, a Saturday, they discovered an unexpected side benefit of the
illusion on Caiona, it helped them find another of the unawakened Star
Navigators. Elwing was walking downtown with Caiona riding on her shoulder,
when another girl walked up to them.
"Excuse me," said the girl, "but I couldn't help but notice your cat. She
must be extremely well trained to ride on your shoulder without jumping off
when she's startled."
Elwing turned around to look at the girl. She was a little taller than
Elwing, and had startling light aqua hair done in a low ponytail down to her
waist, and cut short and loose on top, so that it fell in spiky bangs all
around her face. Her eyes were the same shade as her hair, but brighter,
and she was quite pale.
None of this seemed to phase Elwing, though. "Yes, she is well trained."
she answered.
"Tell me, is that crescent natural, or do you use bleach to make it?" the
girl ventured
This shocked Elwing. She and Caiona looked at each other, then decided
that, since the illusion was still working, this striking girl must be from
the Silver Millennium, just as they were. But now the dilemma, neither of
them could remember her! To protect the "normal lives" of the children of
the moon, the silver crystal had blocked knowledge of others from the
initial memories returned to awakened warriors."What's your name?" asked
Elwing, as they began to walk along together.
"Ailine Cayolyra." answered the girl, "what's yours?"
"My given name or my craft name?" asked Elwing, trying to lay down as many
hints to her memory as possible.
"Why not both?" suggested Ailine, "Then I can decide which one I like better."
"My given name is Claire Delune," she stated, "and my craft name is Elwing."
"I like Elwing better." said Ailine, "It seems familiar somehow. By the
way, my craft name is Vega. It's the name of the star I was born under."
"So you are also of the same religion I am?" asked Elwing, mock surprised
(she had known, of course, from the moment Ailine saw through Caiona's disguise)
	"I guess so." answered Ailine.
It probably would have continued like this for another half an hour while
Elwing tried to remember, had not fate, in the shape of a giant Negaverse
mosquito, stepped in. It was hovering over a group of unconscious people,
jabbing its proboscis at terrified passers by.
"Well, I guess there's no other option, is there, Caiona?" Elwing said to
her cat.
"You're right, there's not." Caiona answered seriously, "Get to someplace
hidden, and I'll get her transformation wand, I've just now remembered,
she's Sailor Vega, who has the power to conjure sound out of emptiness."
As they ran into a nearby empty parking garage, Caiona jumped off Elwing's
shoulder and did a backflip, then caught a bright pink power stick with a
crescent moon around a dark blue lyre. "Take this stick and say 'Vega
Navigator power!', then we can go fight that monster." Caiona told the now
dumb Ailine. To Elwing she said, "you'd better transform too, and call the
Scouts!"
"Elwing Navigator Power!" she shouted, and transformed into Sailor Elwing.
While she was getting the Scouts, Ailine finally woke up from her shock
enough to transform; "Vega Navigator Power!" she said, rather tremulously.
She was immediately surrounded by humming blue lute strings which wound
around her body to create a sailor suit with a dark blue skirt and bright
pink bows. A final strand wrapped around and became a silver tiara with a
sapphire lute on it. The Scouts appeared just as she was completing her
transformation.
	"Who's this?" asked Sailor Venus
"Sailor Vega," answered Sailor Elwing, "But there's no time for
introductions now, we have a giant Negaverse mosquito to swat."
They ran back out to where the mosquito was. By this time, the pile of
unconscious bodies was larger, and people were no longer walking down the
street.
"I'm going to try to distract the thing." said Sailor Vega, "Don't be
surprised by anything you hear."
When they reached the bug, the Scouts spread out and surrounded it, while
Sailor Vega created the sound of other mosquitoes to mask their passing
until they came into its line of sight.
"Mars Celestial Fire Surround!" Sailor Mars led the attack. She managed to
singe the wings of the mosquito, but only slowed it down a little. The
mosquito counterattacked in earnest, stabbing its proboscis toward the
Scouts in lightning-swift forays. Each time it got close, however, Sailor
Elwing would translocate the endangered Scout out of range.
Finally there was enough of a break in the pattern of attack that Sailor
Moon could reply to its assaults. "Moon Sceptre Elimination!" she shouted.
The mosquito screamed as it disintegrated into shimmering dust which then
blew away.
"Whew!" gasped Sailor Jupiter, "That bug was FAST! Even after Mars burned
its wings! If you hadn't been shifting us around like mustard seeds jumping
in hot oil we would have been skewered for sure!"
Sailor Elwing just grinned, her grey eyes twinkling with excitement, "I
haven't had so much fun in Quite awhile!" she said.
"There's too many injured for even the two of us to revive them all without
ending up sleeping for the next week." Sailor Vega announced to Sailor
Elwing as she examined the prone bodies of the mosquito's victims.
"We will give a little to each, then, to speed their eventual recovery."
said Sailor Elwing, "Someone needs to go call the hospital, though, and tell
them that there are... How many?"
	"Twelve"
"That many! Okay then, tell them that there are twelve people here who
seem to have passed out from extreme exhaustion."
Sailors Elwing and Vega went among those twelve laying hands over forehead
and heart, giving just enough energy to bring them out of the danger zone of
extreme exhaustion and onto the road to recovery, while Sailor Mercury
tapped her computer into the phone lines and called for ambulances.
By this time, people were starting to congregate at the scene of the
battle, so the Sailors deemed it was time to beat a hasty retreat. Once
they were out of sight, Elwing transported all seven of them and Caiona to
Raye's temple. They all detransformed, and Ailine was introduced to all the
other girls and Luna and Artemis, who had been at the temple with the girls
when Elwing had called them.
"Well," said Artemis, "We have two new allies, and a strange new enemy, I
