Never part

I close my eyes
and raise my head
And salute those who are
already dead

Their souls are there
their body at peace
And I shall join them
when my life will cease

I open my eyes
and look at the gun
And I wonder where
it all had begun

Was it with my friend?
or was it with my love?
I pray to God
to answer from above

I'm so confused 
and I have no clue
Things have gone bad
There's only one thing to do

I see my reflection
My round little face
Wondering where
I will find my place

I raise the gun high
and look to the sky
Wondering if 
I really want to die

Then I hear my name
again and again
Someone is  calling
I see it is friends

With tears in their eyes
and pain in the heart
They run up to me
and tell me not to depart

I look at them anew
with warmth in my heart
And I truly realize
I would never ever  part

I throw the gun down 
And run to my friends
Saying 'I love you'
Again and again

That is the story 
that I needed to tell
Remember your friends
and all will be well.
