Zoolander
*** out of 5

Zoolander is one of those movies that's classified under the "so damn stupid and mindnumbing that it's downright funny" column of movies. Starring Ben Stiller, father Jerry Stiller, and Will Ferrel, it's a surprisingly entertaining film that satirizes and celebrates the fashion industry.

Plot? Derik Zoolander is supposedly nearing the end of his career as a supermodel, and so goes into retirement (after the deaths of his friends in what has got to be one of the damn funniest and stupidest deaths that I've ever seen involving a gasoline station). There's also a plot regarding the death of some new president of one of those third-world country who's a threat to the fashion industry. The fashion industry decides to off him, and so they give Ferrel's character the job of hiring someone to kill this president.

He hires the inept Zoolander who, of course, doesn't even know his purpose.

The movie's quite entertaining, albeit in a brain-drain sort of way. It's even funnier with a group of friends.

Umm... that's all I can say, really. Signing off.
