Hello again to all Sailor Moon fans. Here is the next chapter. The actions on and the tension is high!!! Just the way I like it. Usual disclaimers apply. Phantom on the Moon: Chapter 5 - The Fried and the Electrocuted In the back of the palace, the Sailor Scouts of Jupiter were standing, waiting for their target to arrive. Ever since Elder Jupiter saw Younger Jupiter walk into the Throne Room, she's been worried about her daughter. Younger Jupiter has had this look on her face that Elder Jupiter could not place. It seemed like a look of shock, but not a shock. It was as if Younger Jupiter learned something recently that surprised her. Elder Jupiter decided to inquire about this, "Are you all right Lita? You look like you've seen a ghost or something." Younger Jupiter had been quiet pretty much all day and was in a day dream of sorts when she was brought back to reality by her mother's question, "Ya, I'm fine, just have a lot on my mind that all." "Are you sure, cause you look like you received the shock of your life sometime last night. I know your hiding something. What is it? Spill." Younger Jupiter was a little worried and tried to cover up what she and the rest learned about Serena, but she knew she had to tell her mother something. "I wish I could spill, but if I did, Pluto would get on my case, not to mention the other Yougers' cases. All I can tell you is that it concerns Sailor Moon." "Well, since Pluto intervened, I can't pry any further. I'm proud at how you and the rest of your friends have taken to this ordeal over the past week," Elder Jupiter said. Younger Jupiter smiled, "Thanks Mother, that........" Her sentence was interrupted by what sounded like thunder just before a section of the palace exploded. Both Jupiter looked around to find out what it came from when a screech from over head caught their attention. Directly above them was a yellow bird with what looked like a spiked feather style all over it. Younger Jupiter spoke up, "That must Zapdos, the electric bird." Elder Jupiter nodded, "Yes, it is. Remember, Sailor Moon said it's weak against physical attacks. When ever it gets close try to give it a few punches. JUPITER HURRICANE STRIKE." Elder Jupiter's attack went to its target at the speed of light, but Zapdos seemed to absorb the attack, "What the!!! How'd he do that?" Younger Jupiter was in a rage by this point, "I don't know, but it can dream on if it thinks it's going to win. JUPITER THUNDER CRASH." Like Elder Jupiter's attack, Zapdos absorbed Younger Jupiter's attack as well, but seemed to have more difficulty doing so, "I think it can only do that trick early in the battle. Mother, try your attack again." Elder Jupiter wasted no time, "JUPITER HURRICANE STRIKE," Zapdos absorbed that attack as well, but was in greater pain then from Younger Jupiter's attack, "I think your right Lita. Now together, JUPITER HURRICANE STRIKE." "JUPITER THUNDER CRASH," Younger Jupiter yelled right after her mother. Both attacks hit simultaneously. They thought they had it beat until it recovered and shot more lightning. Both Jupiter's dodged the Thunder Shock attack by their skins. Fortunately, Zapdos made a mistake and flew at Younger Jupiter, determined to give her a mouth full of its beak. Younger Jupiter through a bunch of punches and kicks, sending Zapdos flying into several walls. Zapdos manage to get up and take to the sky again. As soon as it was a safe distance from the Jupiter Scouts, it sent another electric attack, but this attack formed a net of lighting bolts around them. Elder Jupiter was a little sarcastic here, "Like my daughter said, dream on electric bird brain, JUPITER HURRICANE STRIKE." The attack hit the net with no effect. "I'll get us out, JUPITER THUNDER CRASH," Younger Jupiter sent her attack at the net, and it too had no effect on the net. Zapdos continued to send more electric attacks at all the palace guards in the area, hitting some of them. Those that could stand got the others out of the battle area. Younger Jupiter was now ragging mad. People were getting hurt and their was nothing she could do. Knowledge began to flood her head. She crossed her arms in front of her as if to perform another attack. "Lita, save your energy, it won't......," Elder Jupiter never finished her sentence. Lita Rose her lighting rod on her tiara and sent her attack at the net, "JUPITER THUNDER DRAGON." Younger Jupiter's attack formed an electrical dragon, and the Dragon bite the net with its teeth. The net, and the dragon disappeared in an explosion. As soon as the smoke cleared, both Younger and Elder Jupiter looked for, and found Zapdos before they sent their attacks at the bird, "JUPITER THUNDER DRAGON." "JUPITER HURRICANE STRIKE," Zapdos saw the attacks coming and easily dodged them. However, the electric dragon came around and swallowed Zapdos whole. In an attempt to break out, Zapdos sent a thunder shock, but it ended up destroying itself along with the electric dragon. After the situation was settled Elder Jupiter took Lita aside for a moment, "Lita, how'd you do that?" Younger Jupiter shrugged her shoulders, "Don't know. I just got real angry and then I did the attack. It just came to me when I saw all the guards get hurt." Elder Jupiter decided to continue this topic later, "We should get to the Throne Room. If that Doom Phantom shows up, I don't know if Sailor Moon can do it on her own." Younger Jupiter agreed and they set off for the Thrown Room. On the North side of the Palace, it was pretty much the same as the south side and the back of the palace. Elder and Younger Mercury were waiting for their target to arrive, the firebird, Moltres. Both Mercurys had their visors and computers out, performing scans every where they could. Elder Mercury, however, noticed that Younger Mercury was a little distracted lately, "Amy, sweet heart, are you alright?" Younger Mercury turned her visor off to answer her mother, "I'm fine, mother, just have a lot of things on my mind." Elder Mercury asked, "Care to be more specific? I already figured that out." Amy lowered her head, "I wish I could, but you know what Pluto would do if I did." This caught Elder Mercury's attention, "You found out something about the future? How........never mind, I won't ask." "Mother, what's that up there," Younger Mercury pointed up into the sky as she put her visor back on. At about the same height as the nearby clouds, both Mercurys spotted a small flame in the sky. When Younger Mercury got a closer look through her visor, she noticed it wasn't a fire, it was a firebird, "There's Moltres, up high. Let's give him a cold reception. MERCURY BUBBLES BLAST." "MERCURY ICE SHARDS IMPALE," Both attacks went up to Moltres just as it started its dive. Unfortunately, it did the expected, dodged both attacks, "Well, shall we try that again?" Unfortunately, they didn't have time to power up another attack. Moltres got close enough to send a Fire Spin attack. Both Mercury's got out of the way. "Remember what Sailor Moon said about the Fire Spin attack. If your got in the middle you got 30 seconds to act fast." At this point, Moltres got close enough to fly right over Younger Mercury, who felt a little warm from the fly by of the bird's heat. At that point, seeing the bird distracted, Elder Mercury sent another attack, "MERCURY ICE SHARDS IMPALE." Moltres never saw it coming at took all the blast, but was still in one piece. Moltres turned around and sent another Fire Spin. Thins time both Mercurys were right in the middle as the fire tornado landed and started to shrink. Elder and Younger Mercury wasted no time, "MERCURY ICE SHARDS IMPALE." "MERCURY BUBBLES BLAST," Both attacks hit the tornado, but had no affect. At this point, Younger Mercury did something she rarely did, she started to get really angry, "This is nuts. How are we suppose to put out a fire, when our attacks do no good." Knowledge started to flood Younger Mercury's head. She placed her hands in front of her, as if holding a baseball. Elder Mercury was about to tell her to save her energy for jumping out of the mess they were in when Amy shouted, "MERCURY ICE BUBBLES FREEZE." Younger Mercury's attack went in all directions as if to fog the entire area with her usual bubbles. The fire tornado soon turned into an ice tornado and then crumbled in a pile of ice. Moltres saw this and screeched before it turned to attack, but before it could power up another attack, both Mercurys went to work, "MERCURY ICE BUBBLES FREEZE." "MERCURY ICE SHARDS IMPALE," The attacks went at break neck speed. Moltres had no time to dodge and was put out to a pile of dust. Both Mercurys didn't even congratulate each other as they silently agreed to get to the Throne Room. Well that's that's chapter 5. What will happen when the Venus scouts come face to face with Mewtwo? What's going on in the Thrown Room during all this? And most of all, who is that hiding behind a pillar in the Thrown Room?
