Ok! Here we are with another chapter of Legend of the Excalibur. It’s been a while since the last chapter but I’m still working on this story. Usual disclaimers apply!! Enjoy! Legend of the Excalibur: Chapter 10 - Rise of the Super Sailors It was another typical day in Tokyo. Well, as typical as it can get with all the Youma attacks that take place every now and then. Serena decided to spend the day with her big sister, and get reacquainted with her, so she invited Rachel to the Zoo with her. Rachel wholeheartedly accepted it, and the two went to the Zoo. They had a blast, and Rachel was fascinated by the animals she saw . When lunch time came, the two found a food court and ordered Hot Dogs. While they were eating, Rachel thought about some of the stories Luna told her about the Scout’s fight with Queen Beryl and the Negaverse. One thought made her laugh a bit, and Serena raised an eye brow before asking, “Rach, what’s so funny?” “I was just thinking about the story Luna told me about you transforming for the first time. The look on your face must have been priceless.” This cause Rachel to laugh some more and Serena to get red cheeks. Transforming into Sailor Moon for the first time tended to do that to Serena now these days. When she transformed that night, she had been scared about what had happened to her, and thought it was all a dream. Looking back on it now brought total embarrassment to her face, “Oh, don’t remind me. I still can’t believe I acted that way. I was the Scout that took it the worst their first time this century.” In the Negaverse, General Viper was pacing back and forth in his room. He knew full well he had only one chance to defeat the Sailor Scouts, and he had to think of the best plan yet. In his opinion, he thought General Maverick’s plan was the right step to go into, but Maverick had overestimated the teamwork of Sailor Moon, and Sailor Selene, so Viper wanted to form a plan similar to Maverick’s but with less flaws in it. He had to find a way to isolate the two from the other Sailors. He thought about sending two youmas, but chances were the Scouts would have broken up into groups to take them out, and Viper didn’t have many youma left to spare. With this put together, he began analyzing the previous battles both he and Maverick had with the brats. He didn’t bother checking on the battles Ironite had because he always left after a few shots from the Outers, ‘the coward’ he had thought to himself. True Ironite was stronger then he was, but Viper wouldn’t have left a battle so soon after it started every single time. He was mainly looking at the fights that took place at night and the first one Maverick had the day Sailor Selene first appeared, trying to figure out how long it might take for the Scouts to gather at one specific location at those times. Once he was done, Viper got one of his few remaining Youma, and gave it an assignment. Once it was off, Viper left to get into place to confront the Scouts, “Soon, Sailor Scouts, you will die!” Viper began to laugh at a volume that would put Emerald’s laugh to shame. It was late in the day when Serena, and Rachel stepped into the Crown Arcade. Andrew turned and saw the two, “Hay, ladies. Want your usual?” The two nodded and Andrew returned shortly with one black coffee, and one chocolate milkshake. Serena saw Rachel’s order and scrunched her nose, “Black Coffee?!?! Yuck!! Rach, no offense, but I can only picture Darien drinking that stuff. I’ll take my Chocolate Milkshake any day, thank you.” Rachel only laughed, “I’ve only been drinking coffee since I came to Tokyo. Coffee doesn’t exist back at home. I rather like coffee, as long as I don’t have more then one cup a day at least.” The two continued to chat while Andrew tried to figure out how the two can be sisters. Andrew had known Serena since she was 5, and she’s never mentioned a sister named Rachel, but then maybe the two were separated when Serena was still a baby or something. Just then, Lizzy came and told Andrew he had a phone call from Rita. Andrew, only too happily, ran into the back room to take it. When he came back out, Serena and Rachel had already left. Rachel and Serena decided to go into the park on their way back to Serena’s place. Over all the two had a wonderful day, and Rachel had a smile on her face all day, just glad that her little sister was here with her and not dead like so many other people who died fighting the Negaverse over a thousand years ago. A day hadn’t gone by, since she found out her sister was alive, and Sailor Moon, that she didn’t thank her mother for sending Serena to the future. Just then there was an explosion deeper into the park, and the two Moon princesses ran to the source to see General Viper blasting everything in site. Serena and Rachel looked at each other and transformed. “MOON COSMIC POWER” “SELENE CRYSTAL POWER” Viper was having a blast. He sent his Youma to the Cherry Hill Temple, hoping most of the Scouts would go there, while he tried to get Sailor Moon and Sailor Selene’s attention drawn here. He went around blasting lamp posts, stealing people’s energy, and generally reeking havoc. He was about to blast another tree to bits when a tiara sliced his hand, “AAARRRGGG!” He turned to the source of the tiara, as it returned to its owner, Sailor Moon, with Sailor Selene next to her, “So, you two finally decided to show up. I was beginning to think you were busy.” “Busy with what,” asked Sailor Moon, just before her communicator started going off. Sailor Moon opened it and asked, “What’s up guys?” Mars was on the other end, “All Sailor Scouts to the temple. I got a youma moving like mad, wrecking the place to shreds. It’s too fast for me to hit it.” “Mars, Selene and I can’t get to you. We’re up against General Viper here. All other Scouts to the temple. Selene and I will join you when we can.” Mars didn’t like the plan, “Sailor Moon, your nuts. I’m sending the Outers your way.” Serena didn’t like Mars’s plan, “No, Sailor Mars. You’ll need them to dust that monster. I don’t know how long it will take here.” Mars made a compromise, “Fine, but I am sending Sailor Pluto. No arguments, Sailor Moon.” Ray cut the link before Serena could counter it. General Viper had heard the entire conversation, while he just floated there in mid air, “ Now that your done with your phone call, prepare to die Sailor Brats!!” With that, Viper attacked. “STAR SKY ATTACK” Energy attacks in the shape of human sized stars were fired at the two Sailors and they dodged easily, ““ Viper continued his attacks. Sailor Moon and Selene dodged the attacks, and Sailor Moon used her super speed, and got right in Viper’s face before clobbering him in the head with her hands in one first. Viper went flying to the ground. Sailor Moon thought this would be too easy. Pulling out her Heart Scepter, she attacked. “MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK” The attack slammed into Viper, or so it seemed. When the smoke cleared, Viper was standing there with a smirk on his face, “Is that the best you got? Pathetic.” Viper pressed the attack , and Sailor Selene tried her attack. “CRYSTAL SELENE SHIVER” Viper just raised his hand and a shield appeared and deflected her attack. Selene looked at Moon and thought, (“Sis, we’re in trouble.”) Sailor Moon agreed but the two continued to attack as best as they could. Meanwhile, at the Cherry Hill Temple, all the inners arrived to help Mars at the Temple, with the Youma. When they all got there they saw why Mars needed their help. This Youma was born to run the 100 meter dash in 3 seconds. You’d think it have some rabbit blood in it somewhere. None of the attacks could catch it cause it would move long before the attack reached it. Just then the Outer joined the fight. “WORLD SHAKING” “DEEP SUBMERGE” “SILENCE GLAVE SURPRISE” Unfortunately, all the attacks missed. Sailor Venus, by this point, got fed up with it. She told Mars to catch her chain when she through it. “VENUS LOVE CHAIN ENCIRCLE” Sailor Mars caught the chain, and the two pulled it tight. The Youma was too busy running around to see it and it tripped over the chain and fell flat on its face. This got a grin from Chibi Moon, “And they say my Mom’s the klutz around here.” Everyone else briefly laughed before they got back to work, cause the distraction was long enough for the Youma to get back on its feet. Sailor Chibi Earth got mad, “Stay DOWN will you?” With that she launched her attack. “ROSE PETAL FURRY” A cloud of rose pedals left Chibi Earth’s out stretched hand and went into its eyes, “AHHHHHHH, I can’t see.” “Great shot Chibi Earth,” said Sailor Sol as he and Venus Knight attacked with their swords. “VENUS SOLAR BLADE SLASH” “SUN SWORD SLASH” The Youma, unable to see the attacks coming, caught them both and fell to the ground. However, it got the rose petals out of its eyes and stood back up. With the wave of its hand, multiple nets appeared at went at the Scouts. Its first try missed the Inners, and Outers, but got Sailor Sol, the Chibi scouts, and Venus Knight. Sailor Earth and the Outers combined their post powerful attacks and through them at the youma. “EARTH TECHTONIC QUAKE” “SPACE SWORD BLASTER” “DEEP SUBMERGE” “DEATH RIBBON REVOLUTION” Unfortunately, the Youma managed to dodge them all and used its nets again. This time it got the Outers. The Youma then turned its attention at the 5 remaining inners, “Now, which one of you shall I take out first?” Back at the park, things were not looking good, but then again, they were not bad either. Viper kept throwing attacks, and Sailor Moon and Selene kept dodging them, but they were also tiring. Viper was getting frustrated. He knows he’s been wasting time, and that Sailor Pluto would be showing up any moment now. So he decided to stick to one target………. Sailor Moon. As went to attack her, Sailor Selene managed to intercept him, but Viper sent an attack that went into her stomach. “SELENE,” Moon saw her sister take the shot and fell to the ground, barely moving. She gave a sigh of relief when her sister got up and gave a thumbs up, indicating she was fine. (“But man, I’ll be sore for a week,”) was her message to Sailor Moon, who had to keep her laughter down at that. This was not a time to laugh, when you have a General from the Negaverse, ready to kill you. Sailor Selene looked up in time to see Viper lunging at Sailor Moon, “SAILOR MOON, WATCH OUT!!!!” Sailor Moon saw what was coming but froze and got too scared to move. Sailor Selene got up and silently chanted, “Goddess Selene, give me the strength I need to help my sister. If ever you had faith in me with this attack give me strength NOW!!” With that, Sailor Selene started her most powerful, but most difficult to perform, attack. “SELENE,” Power gathered in her hands as she struggled to form them into the desired form. “STARLIGHT,” The energy got brighter, more intense, and more difficult to hold. Sailor Selene has never successfully performed this attack before, but the next word sealed it’s first successful use, “SHATTER.” A blinding stream of light sped from her palms and hit Viper square in the stomach with enough force to have the Nega-general have the wind knocked out of him. Viper fell to the ground, gripping his stomach and tried to breath as best he could. As soon as Viper hit the ground, something weird began to happen. Both Sailor Moon’s and Sailor Selene’s brooches began to pulse in the form of white light surrounding the two brooches. Sailor Moon’s brooch began to open while Sailor Selene’s floated up into the air. As soon as Selene’s brooch got a good distance from its owner, the Silver crystal emitted a beam of energy that went straight to Selene’s brooch. As soon as the beam made contact with the brooch, an unrecognizable voice said, “My guardian. You have proven yourself worthy of your destiny. Do your heritage proud as the first in over 3 millennia to use this weapon.” With that, the brooch and the energy solidified together, into a sword. The sword was about 3 ft. long, had a crystalline blade, and the hilt of the sword was silver with a small whole in the sword's hilt. Sailor Selene reached out and grabbed the sword and saw, for the first time, the Lunar Excalibur in her hands. That same instant, new words came to Rachel head. She raised the sword above her head. “SELENE EXCALIBUR POWER.” Light poured out of the sword, and surrounded Sailor Selene, changing her uniform in various places. When the light show was over, Sailor Selene’s outfit now looked exactly like Sailor Moon’s, right down to the last detail. Sailor Selene was now Super Sailor Selene. Sailor Moon during all this was just stunned. General Viper was furious. The one chance he had to get the sword during all this failed cause the light affects of the brooch merging with crystal power was too bright and by the time he had his eye sight back, Sailor Selene already had the sword in her hands. Viper went into a rage, and charged at Sailor Selene. Selene saw this and began her newest attack. “LUNAR EXCALIBUR STRIKE” Power poured into the blade. When enough was gathered, Sailor Selene thrusted the sword to point right at Viper, and the energy was released. It slammed into Viper with so much force, he was dusted almost instantly. In another part of Tokyo, a figure was drawing sketches of plans for another sky scraper scheduled to begin construction in 1 year. The figure had just set the drawing pencil down when the figure felt a surge of power never felt before. The figure tried to comprehend what it could mean when a time portal appeared behind the figure. The figure turned and said in surprise, “Pluto, what are you doing here?” Sailor Pluto, as always, got right to the point, “I can’t stay long. I just came to say it is time.” The figure smiled, “At last, I’ll be able to see Serena and Travis again.” The figure smiled until long after Sailor Pluto excused herself and left through another time portal. Back at the Temple, things went from bad to worse. The Youma, by now, had everyone tied up in its nets. Sailor Chibi Moon was the one struggling the most to get loose. She tried with all her might but didn’t even budge a wrist, In an answer to Chibi Moons silent request, a burst of light appeared in the air, behind the Youma. It, and the captured Sailor Scouts looked up to see a winged Pegasus with a golden horn on its head. The Pegasus aimed its horn at the 5 inner Sailor Scouts, and power erupted toward them. The Scouts‘ transformation wands automatically came out and absorbed the power as they went through a radical transformation and became the crystal transformation wands. The nets on everyone disintegrated and the Youma looked in shock, “It’s impossible!” The now Super Sailor Mars stared at the Youma, “Guess again, ugly.” With that, knowledge came to the Inner Scouts heads for new attacks. “MERCURY AQUA RHASODY” “MARS FLAME SNIPER” “JUPITER OAK EVOLUTION” “VENUS LOVE AND BEAUTY SHOCK” Super Sailor Earth got a new weapon, the Terra staff, as she used her attack. “EARTH TSUNAMI SPLASH” The Outers, Sailor Sol, Venus Knight, and Chibi Scouts, and just arrived Tuxedo Mask, joined in on the bash. “SPACE SWORD BLASTER” “DEEP SUBMERGE” “DEATH RIBBON REVOLUTION” “SUN SWORD SLASH” “VENUS SOLAR BLADE SLASH” “PINK SUGAR HEART ATTACK” “ROSE PETAL FURRY” Tuxedo Mask threw a dozen roses. After all the attacks slammed into the Youma, it was bruised, battered, and beaten, but not out. It managed to stand up to make itself decent just as Sailor Moon and, to everyone’s surprise, Super Sailor Selene, with the Excalibur in hand as Sailor Moon asked, “So, what did we miss?” Just then a time portal opened and Sailor Pluto stepped out. Sailor Moon looked at the Youma and said, “I hope your commanding General wasn’t Viper cause my sister dusted him just a while ago. So, in the name of the Moon, it’s my turn to dust you.” Sailor Mercury looked at Sailor Moon, “Be careful Sailor Moon, this Youma is fast.” Sailor Mars couldn’t help herself, “Ya, it could put your running time to shame.” That got Sailor Moon mad, ”What?!?! A Youma that’s faster then me?!?! I don’t think so.” before she could react, the youma charged at Sailor Moon and knocked her down. It was about to go for the finishing move when Sailor Pluto shouted, “Sailor Moon!!! Catch!!!!” Sailor Moon looked up in time to see what looked like a chalice with the crescent moon on its front. Sailor Moon grabbed it, and almost immediately began reacting with her brooch, and Sailor Moon subconsciously shouted her knew transformation phrase. “MOON CRISIS POWER” Butterflies began flying around Sailor Moon, and her outfit began to change. Her skirt turned white with yellow, blue, and red stripes. Two streamers appeared, attached to her skirt, and her brooch settled onto her skirt as butterfly wings appeared on her back, completing the transformation into Super Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon took out the heart scepter and attacked. “RAINBOW MOON HEARTACHE” The Youma only had time to say, “Oh crud,” before turning into moon dust. Super Sailor Moon reverted back to Sailor Moon and almost immediately collapsed, and Super Sailor Selene managed to catch her, “Sailor Moon are you ok?” “Ya, I just feel exhausted all of a sudden.” “It’s a side affect from your second transformation Sailor Moon,” replied Sailor Pluto, “The Purity Chalice uses a great amount of energy when you use it for your second transformation, and nearly drains you enough to knock you out, but not quite. You just need to rest for a few minutes and you’ll be fine.” Sailor Moon nodded and an hour later retransformed and walked home. Rini wanted to thank the Pegasus for its help but when she turned around, it was gone. Once home, she and Rini gave her family, and Luna, the details of today’s fight before going to bed after dinner. “Blast,” cursed King Onix, “Sailor Selene has the sword, and Viper bit the dust. Generals Ironite and Riker, do you two know your jobs?” At their nods Onix continued, “Good. I expect better results out of the both of you. Understood?” At their agreement, they were dismissed, “I must find a way to take that sword from Sailor Selene, or my plans are finished.” Well that’s this chapter.
