Aa! Megamisama Win95 game
Windows 95 version of Aa! Megamisama game was released in February 97 in Japan. Here are the highlights.
Compatibility
The programs will run on standard English Win95 environments. However, installation dialog boxes and menu commands do not show up, but you can figure those out by trial and error.
Minimum configuration: Win95/16Mb/100MB(hard disk space)/CD-ROM(also usable as audio CD player(for background sound etc.)/640X480,256 colors.
Recommended configuration: Pentium 100MHz+/32Mb+/100Mb+/16bit color+/Sound blaster 16 compatible sound.
For the adventure game, you will need a software that displays Japanese characters as a resident program. (such as KView from Kureo or NJWIN from Hong Bo systems) If you can't read Japanese, I guess it's academic, you can still randomly choose your options and let the story unfold.
Availability
I have no idea whether the import vendors can get this for you. The game is published by BANPRESTO, a subsidiary of Bandai Group. List price in Japan is 9800yen plus tax. Steep, but if you are a megami fanatic, you would love it.
The game CD contains the following:
- Adventure Game
Menu-based adventure game with some combat. All inputs are by choosing options. This shouldn't really be considered as a challenging game, but more like an interactive comic book. The most fun is not necessarily by finishing the game fastest, but exploring all the story sub-plots you can reach by choosing different actions at different times. Sometimes, unlikely choices lead to hilarious developments. Has some voice elements and background music.
- Skuld's Bug Bashing Game
This is a little arcade style action game. Very cute.
- Wall Paper
29 all new bitmaps as wall paper. Each image comes in 3 sizes. Enough to satisfy those of you who are starving for Peorth pics, but many Bell, Urd, Skuld pics too, plus some unusual characters.
- Screen Saver
Unfortunately this screen saver is only 640X480 (I think?), but it's a series of SD (super-deformed) mini-characters zipping around the screen. 4 or 5 different scenes I think.
- Banpei-kun Clock
An alarm clock with Banpei-kun on the clock face. Alarm can be set to either Belldandy, Urd or Skuld. They will remind you that it's time in heavenly voices.
- .WAV Sounds
24Mb+ of voice data! Not only do you get Belldandy's installation guide voices (yes, she talks you through the installation), but there are 3 sets of Windows system sounds, each set corresponding to Bell, Urd or Skuld.
- Zigsaw Puzzle
Each of the bitmap images can be used in a zigsaw puzzle. Some settings are very difficult. When you complete the puzzle, one of the goddesses will congratulate you.
- Mouse Pointer
A set of mouse pointers.
