What Can be Posted: Obviously, song translations. We currently have no procedures. Someone posts a complete or partial translation of a song along with romaji, and everyone comments on the translation, offering suggestions and
discussing the best English translation. Other than the song translations, relevant cultural notes will also be appreciated and accepted. The translations are done for those who cannot understand Japanese and her cultural idiosyncrasies and all attempts will be made to make the translations understandable to widest range of the English speaking fans. Other administrivia is accepted. This includes discussions on future procedures, and romaji conventions (a topic of hot discussion on other translation MLs I run), and also whether we will branch out from AMG song to other anime songs. And all other small tidbits of info relating to translation, such as what is the best dictionary and such, will also be welcomed.
What Cannot be Posted: All other information and posts regarding AMG should be posted to the Doi-san's AMG ML. This ML is not for general AMG discussion. Rather, this is where work is done. I do not wish to split normal traffic from Doi-san's ML. As I said before, spammers and flamers will be terminated with extreme prejudice. I'm not above site-banning (based on IP address or as wide as domain) if the abuse should continue.
How to Subscribe: If you wish to subscribe to the single message mode, send mail to: [email protected] with: subsingle This will subscribe you to the ML and send you mail as they come, one at a time, as opposed to the Digest mode. If you wish to subscribe to the Digest mode, send mail to: [email protected] with: subscribe This will subscribe you to the ML and send you mail in the Digets mode, where mails are collected first and then sent once a day.

Misc: All song translations are copyrighted by this Mailing List. The translation is a cooperative effort. No single person can purport to own the group project. I, by being the owner and moderator of this ML, take no special property right to the translations. The reason why I am stamping the copyright on the translations is to ask the general fans to recognize our effort in some way. So if you want to print or display the translations
our ML has produced, on paper or on web pages, please feel free. But we'd appreciate a tip'o the hat somewhere on the page. ^_^ This policy is of course subject to change, as I poll other members for their feelings. But I am, at least, commited to providing free, openly available translations.
