Doesn't SldMySoul have a beautiful family?

where in this world do you live?

Winston-Salem NC but I grew up in North Dakota

oooooooo, ND is cold country

yes, north dakota is cold and i don't miss the weather one bit

a lot of snow?

many feet and several blizzards every winter

and you wonder why people want to live in places like that

lol - the funny thing is my dad grew up in the desert of California and moved there of his own free will!! insane

what possessed him to do that? wanted to experience the worst of seasons?

his theory was that if it was hot, you can only take off so many clothes until you are naked, but if it is cold, you can always put on more layers

well, he does have a point :)

yes, but I still didn't want to stay there

what do you do up in NC?

my job is as an administrative assistant for a community college, but they've expanded my job now to include a little data systems

so you're becoming a computer geek, huh?

lol - I haven't started using a pocket protector yet

how long have you worked at the community college?

ever since i moved here, about 3 years. my husband teaches there

where did you live before Winston-Salem?

yeah, I know what you mean. being 'southerners' we do get to enjoy shorts in the dead of winter

some of the southern stuff took a little getting used to like cole slaw on everything

have you ever eaten grits before moving to NC?

nope - and i don't get it

it doesn't taste like anything. basically it's just putting texture into your butter and sugar

that's why you put a ton of butter on it and cheese mmmmm

reminds me of tofu----being so bland

yeah, but tofu has some redeeming qualities, it's good for you and such. what does grits have?

grits are too good for you

it's just corn

and corn is full of vitamins. this is the great grit debate

ok, well in ND we had Malt-O-Meal, which is the same thing except based on wheat (i think) and I liked that

how many children to you have?

i have two children, Amanda is 9 and Caleb is 7

do they like NC like you do?

Amanda misses the cold and snow, but she likes it here now that she is in basketball and girl scouts and we all miss my family

I posted to a newsgroup about my favorite movie of all time, "Joe Versus the Volcano" and this guy answered and we started corresponding. Well, emails turned to phone calls and phone calls turned to visits and we got married!

i'm 32 and he's 61

what brought you to #madlib?

I came across #chaos somehow, I don't remember how, and at the end of the game it mentioned #madlib so I tried it out and like almost everyone new I started out with the stupidest libs - bathroom humor type stuff. but then I caught on and I love it!

so no one referred you to the game? that's odd. usually it's by word of mouth

well, what I was thinking of was that i'm the youngest of ten kids, and that I had a kidney transplant in 1987

and you were okay to have kids?

yes

transplants weren't supposed to have kids years ago but now it's ok if it's working right

you have to take meds every day?

yes

that is terrific!!

i think so. 12 years is a long time for a kidney to last. i've been very fortunate

what about your kids? it's not hereditary, is it?

no, it was caused by an infection, strep

oh dear. well, like you said, you're lucky

so if you know anyone who gets strep make them take ALL their antibiotics

Soul, that is why we have calendars so we can remember those important dates

i know one of my nephews shares my birthday, but I can't remember which one

i'm not really sure. i think almost 2 years, just shortly after it got started

I like the one about giving the dog peanut butter, but I don't think it was very popular with the animal lovers. hehehe

My favorite, though, is about having your portrait done by picasso to talk out of both sides of your mouth. it is funny i think

total adrenaline rush. Isn't that silly?? I love to win!

my first thought was 'I'm really NOT that funny guys"
yeah, sometimes I'm surprised by my libs that I think are so stupid and they get votes

what makes you such a good player?

oh, well - i haven't been very good lately

but you know that that is the key to the game...lameness

the trick to a good lib, though, is to think of something that fits the lib but is a little bent. that's what I think anyway

then we all should be winning at that game since we all are 'bent'

lol - and we all do win sometime or another

do you have any words of wisdom to pass on?

words of wisdom - any answer that pops in your head with the word "toilet" in it usually isn't very good ;)

nope - leave it alone but...septic tank seems to get some votes
