Snow Skiing is my absolute favourite sport and past-time of all. I never even saw snow until I was about 12 years old, and I *really* wish my family had lived near any snowy area so that my school, from 1st class right through to year 12, offered various snow sports for school sport.

Being an Aussie, I have found the snow to be a very remarkable and wonderful thing, but have also found it oft-times very difficult and/or costly to get to any. My hometown of Forster, NSW is at least a 10 hour drive to the nearest snow ski resort, but I have loved every trip I've made along that route as I know I'm heading to the snow!

I have been a skiier ever since I first went to the snow (that was Guthega, NSW), but I have tried boarding several times, and I like it too. However, at this stage, I cannot go anywhere near as many places on a board as I can on skis, on any mountain or terrain I happen to be on. I think it's likely that I will do more boarding over the next several years. I have skied with a *lot* of boarding friends over the years, and have loved every minute of it.

I always get to the snow at least for a week every year. I aim to increase the amount of time I spend skiing as much as I can per year over at least the next decade, but it's hard to do as it is so costly a past-time. :(
Man, if I was rich, I would aim to ski as many snow ski resorts in the whole world as possible, and also go on many more backcountry ski trips as well. When I win Lotto or something that will happen.. But for now I will continue to thoroughly enjoy each and every sojourn to the snow that I am able to experience - I always make the most out of the day out there on the skis, regardless of the conditions. And the weather & snow conditions in OZ can be *very* testing sometimes, be assured! ;)
