Wise
LG Wise was
never given much of a chance. Born to a fourteen year old girl and a married
man in North Carolina, LG Wise had it hard growing up. He only lasted two
years in his mother's home before being sent to his grandmother in Brooklyn.
He became a Christian at a young age, but never really practised it.
There he grew up on the streets, joining a gang and ending up in prison
much of the time. Often his life was in grave danger. After spending one
too many nights in jail, he fled to Florida in order to find a better life.
This he did at a Christian help center. He soon found a Christian woman
who he married, and he started to do a 180. Now LG Wise searches out lost
souls who are as far away from Christ as he was, trying to turn them back.
He has three albums out: G's Us 4 Life, Never Alone, and the new
Ghetto Fables: Da 1/2 Aint Told. LG Wise's name is based on Proverbs
11:30, and means "the Lord God's (LG) Wisdom (Wise)" His goal is
to, "To proclaim the gospel and to challenge secular artist to be more
responsible with their position and the message they deliver to this generation."
He truly wants to see revival in this generation. His favorite rappers
are DCP, OC, and Witness.
