There may be turmoil within the offices of the SWF. Apparently, Sandman has been forced to come between Mr. Shhh and Pagan on more than one occasion now concerning Equalizer's demands. Mr. Shhh feels that he has been backed into a corner and must accept the demands, while Pagan argues that he should stand and fight. At the very least, Equalizer's plan has given the added bonus of a feuding Family. The second placement of Trey Lawrenze in the World Title Tournament has angered a lot of other wrestlers. Of course, as long as Trey remains a part of The Family, there is nothing that anyone can really do about it. Expect this special aid to continue throughout the tournament, perhaps even as far as the World Title. Mr. Roboto and Time Warp have been demanding better positioning in the league as of late. They seem to feel that since the Kold Blooded Killaz have defeated all other teams, that should give Future Technology the placement as number one contenders at Birthday Blast. I guess one PPV appearance wasn't enough. Speaking of the tag team scene, it would seem as if the Gods of Destruction were very close to returning to the SWF. The original plan was for them to interfere at Ides of March and cost the KBK their titles to the Living Dead, but that plan was scrapped when negotiations fell through. Former Cap'n Crunch, Simon Baressi, has been wrestling under his real name at house shows recently. There is no word on when or if he will return to television yet. However, it might not be out of the question to see him cost Trey Lawrenze his spot in the tournament, thus setting up a rumored Lawrenze/Baressi match at Birthday Blast. There may be more than meets the eye when it comes to King Cobra's recent departure from the SWF. Although the SWF has issued statements saying that Cobra is injured and will return in time, some insiders are telling a different story. The big rumor is that the referee for the recent Cobra/Swinger TV Title Cage match was actually told to make sure Frankie walked out with the title. Apparently it has something to do with King Cobra's backstage attitude, and that may have a lot to do with why he is no longer with the league. Are Moon Dog Gator and Mr. Meteorite #666 really the same person? Insiders recently discovered that the one occurrence where the two appeared together may have been an actor in the MM666 disguise. On the injury front... Doctors say that Sean McKenzie is doing well in his recovery from injuries that he suffered during the Hell In The Cell match. The former International and Toughman champ is not expected to return to action until after Birthday Blast. Monster Mark apparently hurt his back while working the recent match against "Irish Thunder" Mick Watts. Although there is no word on how serious it is, Monster Mark has stated that he will continue to wrestle. Is Commissioner Pagan's "career ending injury" all a work? The former three time American champion suffered an injury to his leg while on tour in Japan during the last few weeks of 1997. Against doctor's orders, he returned to the States and went on to wrestle Rock and Roll Animal for the World Title, only to make the injury worse. After taking a few months off, Pagan again returned to the SWF and continued to compete until he eventually told the league that he would no longer be able to wrestle. Here's the catch... the SWF will be sending some superstars to Japan in the near future, and Pagan is listed as one of the competitors on the tour. There will be more information on this soon. Is Biggie Z in the SWF doghouse? What does Doug Bacon think about Deaf Leopard trying to impersonate him? Is Fatal Fury about to be provided with the biggest push of his career? The Ringside Report will be back next week, and these are just some of the rumors that will be discussed.
