Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the Parthenon in Athens Greece. The Greek government has graciously allowed ATW to appear in this historic place. The unifying principle of the Greeks is that life can be ordered and reasonable. Human ability can triumph over chaos and create a balanced society. This Greek emphasis on order and reason affected their spiritual attitudes. Confidence in the power of human reason and human self-knowledge is as important to them as belief in the gods. On the side of one Greek temple was inscribed, "Know Your Self." The greatest of all Greek temples of the Classical Age is the Parthenon, the remains of which still crown the Acropolis in Athens. Through a study of the Parthenon, Classical values and ideals can be revealed to us. Almost like a time-machine, we can travel through ideas back twenty-five hundred years and come to better understand both the Greek and ourselves. The style was Doric, and the temple was the largest temple on the Greek mainland. The commission for the metopes and the pedimental sculpture, which decorated the building, were the responsibility of the artist Phidias. The building material was Pentalic marble, polished and painted. Dimensions at the stylobate are 230 feet by 102 feet; a proportion of 9 to 4. Outer columns are 8 by 17 in number. The timbers of the roof were covered with marble tiles. The cella was entered from the east through a porch of six columns set above two steps. The wooden ceiling the cella was high enough to hold a forth-foot-high statue of the goddess Athena. The interior colonnades, one atop the other, divided the cella into central and two aisles, and continued behind the cult statue. Starting us off will be newcomer Jack Frost against a hard hitting established wrestler; The Vigilante. Then we will see Titan in a handicap match against Madness. Following that is Hot Shot Donovan and McKenzie and our main event tonight is Kaos vs Rock 'N Roll Animal. SP: It appears that this is Trinity vs the Revolution night. They are in both our final matches. This could get interesting. NS: This is a also a great night because tonight we have a God, a half God, and a Titan. SP: Well Frenck tried to go that extra mile. NS: As long as it doesn't cost too much. SP: Anyway our guess speakers for the evening fit right into our Greek theme for the evening. Who better to introduce the wrestlers tonight then the star of hit TV series Hercules; "Kevin Sorbo. NS: And a main character in both Hercules and Xena, Kevin Smith; "Aries the God of War! Listen to the women in the audience going wild over these two who are now in the center of the ring. SP: So before we have a riot on our hands let's get started. NS: Now Aries really knows how to make an introduction. [A laser light show shoot up into the heavens as Vigilante steps onto the platform. She says a few words of congratulations to him and they leave the ring as "Jack Frost" by St. Vitus begins to play] SP: Well he is definitely not the friendly type but he shows a lot of promise. NS: Personally I just think he is just too cool if you get my drift. SP: I would rather not. Our next match is a handicap match between the team of Madness and new comer Titan. NS: I understand that the match was being held here because it was Titans debut match. SP: What better place to have a Titan fighting then in the ancient city of Greece, where the Gods once looked down their noses at the people of Earth. NS: I wonder if Xena will make an appearance tonight. If she does you can count me gone as I'll be kissing her feet in some hidden room. SP: Your pathetic Shade. NS: Yeah maybe, but enough about me lets see if this Titan is half the man he says he is. ["Tightrope" by ELO begins to blare throughout the arena as the laser show begins] KSorbo: Ladies and gentlemen introducing first in his debut match here on at Around the World, from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania weight in at 293 lbs. Titan! [The laser lights go out and the only lights are those from the moon and stars. Two columns of white fireworks go off on either side of the entrance ramp. Titan appears, raises his hands in the air, and screams to the crowd. He makes his way to the ring, and once inside raises his hands, and screams to the crowd again. As he bring his hands to his sides a chain of three lightening bolts emit from the top of the entrance ramp, and work their way down towards the ring.] NS: That was one hell of a special effect. I wonder how he did that. [The music fades and is replaced with "Madman" by Silverchair] KSmith: And his opponents, at a combined weight of 524 lbs., Insanity and Madman; Team Madness! With their manager Crazygirl. [Madman and Insanity along with Crazygirl emerge and step onto the platform as fireworks begin to explode from the columns. The crowd begins to boo as they make their ways to the ring with their manager, Crazygirl.] SP: Did you see the ways Kevin Smith smiled at Crazygirl. NS: I did and I saw the look she returned. I think if he is going after that one he is going to have to be more then a God. SP: We will all wish him lucky on his adventure but Earl Hebner is not a man to be kept waiting. NS: It looks like Insanity is going to start off for Team Madness. [There goes the bell] They lock up. Titan nails Insanity with a DDT. Titan raises his arms and screams. The crowd is starting to get behind Titan. Titan goes for a Tombstone, but Insanity blocks it. Insanity whips Titan into the ropes. Insanity executes a jumping DDT on Titan. Quite a few boos are audible. NS: Boooooo Booooooooo Boooooooo SP: What are you doing? NS: Just getting down with the audience. Insanity goes for a figure-four leglock, but Titan blocks it. Titan executes a chop on Insanity. Titan runs into the ropes. Insanity executes a spinning backbreaker on Titan. The crowd is booing Insanity. Madman enters the ring to make it two-on-one. SP: Two on one as Madman entered the ring. NS: They are really going to indoctrinate this rookie right tonight. Insanity and Madman hit Titan with a double power bomb. Madman executes a football tackle on Titan. Titan bumps into Earl Hebner. Madman hit the Titan hard with that football tackle forcing in right into Earl Hebner. Hebner is down. NS: Couldn't happen to a nicer ref. Insanity uses a waistlock suplex on Titan. There is no referee to count. Madman leaves the ring. Insanity puts Titan in a kneelock submission. There is no referee there to ask Titan. SP: Madman has left the ring but not before doing some damage. NS: Well personally I think he screwed up. Insanity could have had this win but Hebner is still out. Titan is struggling to reach the ropes. Insanity lets go after 14 seconds. Earl Hebner is back on the job. Insanity catches Titan in a figure-four leglock. Titan reaches the ropes after being trapped for 5 seconds. Insanity throws Titan out of the ring. Insanity goes through the ropes. SP: Let's see how the Titan performs outside the ring. Earl Hebner counts: 1. Madman comes over to make it two-on-one. NS: It's doesn't look good. Madman has come over to assist his partner. SP: I wonder what this kid thought taking on the both of the first time out. Insanity and Madman hit Titan with a double power bomb. Madman goes for a snap suplex, but Titan counters it with a vertical suplex. They're brawling inside the ring area. Earl Hebner counts: 2. NS: This kid is getting hit with some brutal moves, but he is still trying to fight back. SP: this shouldn't take too much longer. He will never be able to survive against those two by himself. Insanity whips Titan into the guardrail. Earl Hebner counts: 3. Athena comes from behind, but Insanity nails Athena. Earl Hebner counts: 4. Titan whips Insanity into the guardrail. They're brawling inside the ring area. Titan hits Insanity with a reverse neckbreaker. Earl Hebner counts: 5. Titan raises his arms and screams. NS: Whoa now there is something you don't see and hear every day. SP: Maybe not but the crowd seems to be responding to it. The crowd is starting to get behind Titan. NS: Well someone needs to get behind both of them and get them back into the ring. Hebner is passing the half way point. Athena comes from behind and distracts Insanity. SP: Insanity doesn't know what to think. The beautiful Athena is definitely distracting. Titan whips Insanity into the guardrail. Titan hits a hiptoss on Insanity. Titan uses a clothesline on Insanity. Earl Hebner counts: 6. Earl Hebner counts: 7. Titan knocks Insanity into the ringpost. The crowd is starting to get behind Titan. Titan whips Insanity into the guardrail. Titan throws Insanity back into the ring. NS: Let's see Titan has introduced Insanity to the ringpost and guardrail and then he helped him back into the ring. They attempt to hit Titan with a double clothesline, but he counters it with a duck-down move. Titan hits them with a double clothesline. Insanity leaves the ring. Titan hits a Frankensteiner on Madman. A small "Titan" chant is being started. SP: Titan is climbing to the second rope preparing to execute his finisher. Titan executes the Thunderbolt on Madman. NS: A second rope chokeslam by the Titan. The crowd is cheering on Titan. Titan goes for the pin. Earl Hebner counts: One, two, in the ropes... SP: A near pin by the Titan. NS: Yeah someone needs to move those ropes further away. Titan hits Madman with a slingshot. Titan is getting a good reaction from the crowd. Titan is going for the pin. Earl Hebner counts: One, two, kickout. Titan executes an elbowdrop on Madman. Titan locks Madman in an armlock hammerlock submission. Madman is valiantly trying to break the hold. Madman executes a bulldog headlock on Titan. A wave of boos is going through the crowd. Madman hits a powerslam on Titan. Earl Hebner counts: One, two, kickout. Madman whips Titan into the ropes, but Titan reverses it. Titan gets a bearhug on Madman. SP: Titan has Madman in a bearhug and is squeezing the be-jesus out of him. NS: The WHAT? SP: The life out of him. NS: Why didn't you say that in the first place? Madman tries to escape the hold. Madman is inching his way towards the ropes. Madman is writhing in pain. Earl Hebner checks Madman's arm. He lifts it... it falls. SP: Madman's in trouble as Titan isn't letting go. He lifts it... it falls. NS: Now see that is what I like. A man that will stay with a winning hold. By the way that's two for Madman. He lifts it... it falls. SP: Earl Hebner checked it again and Madman cannot respond. Hebner is calling for the bell. Earl Hebner stops the match after 40 seconds. The crowd is giving Titan a standing ovation. NS: Titan has won his debut match! SP: I'll say! This young man is going to climb the ladder quickly. Whoever heard of a handicap match to start your career with. Let's get the official word. EH: The winner in a match time of 7 minutes and 35 seconds is TITAN! NS: The crowd is on their feet. They just can't get enough of this guy. ["Tightrope" by ELO begins to blares as Titan heads back down the isle to the locker room.] SP: Again quite a match for newcomer Titan. Now our next match consists of two men that have never faced each other in the ring. Both are former champions and top rate wrestlers. NS: That's true Phoenix but as we all know, The Revolution is going to win. SP: Speaking of which I notice you have on a different color Revolution shirt tonight. NS: Well after the comment you made last week, The Revolution gave me a shirt for every day of the week. SP: Thank God for small favors. [Laser lights are darting across the arena and fireworks explode from the ATW globe and the sparks seem to linger in the skies as "Some Like It Hot" by Power Station begins to play. SP: I heard they were looking at someone but were in no hurry. Perhaps it will be Sven or Tanner Boyle. NS: Oh no Boyle is out. He basically has said he wouldn't join a stable. SP: Yes but it might be a ploy and he is actually going to join one. You know how sneaky they get.
