Panoramic view of Lake Segara Anak (250 feet deep and stocked with
carp) inside Gunung Rinjani Volcano on the island of Lombok.
Lake is at a level of 2,030 metres above sea level; new volcano, Gunung
Baru (seen left of centre in photograph), first appeared in 1942 and is
already 2,351 metres above sea level ie it grows on average approximately
5.7 metres per year !
Summit of Gunung Rinjani can be seen on the extreme left of picture
