This is our Egyptian guide Mohamed (Amadeus), standing in front of the entrance of the mastaba of Ka-Gmni (2340 bc)


This is a "false door", which is in almost all tombs throughout ancient Egypt. It is so the "ka" or soul of the deceased can enter or leave the tomb at will.


An example of some of the wall scenes inside Ka-Gmni's mastaba.


This is probably a portrait of Ka-Gmni in his mastaba, because of the size and the prominence of the figure.
