Information Technology, the Driving Force behind Globalization.

The term, Information Technology (IT) for the practical purpose means a set of interdependent tools, consist of hardware (terminal computer), software, network (intranet, internet, public service network), and multimedia system. Its capabilities in building, modifying and transferring information creates a new paradigm of economics and societies structure. The meaning of infotech changes as time goes on, due to the rapid progress of technology. Nowadays the match to cellular technology brings about this term to a broader sense as mobile cell multimedia.

And the term Globalization are very broad in nature, but can not be avoided the role of infotech as the trigger of its emerge. Globalization term refers to a multiphase process of interconnect and interactive one another in dealing with interests, ideas, goods, and services pass over the boundaries of cities, countries and regions using a set of tools and software.
In an effort to depict the development of their influences one another, we will be using their periodical development progress of IT and the process of Globalization. In early of 1990s, IT had become the driving force behind Globalization in terms related to commerce, finance, and economics where the Internet became the main facilitator of global information technology.

As a result of technological development mainly in computer and telecommunication, the phenomenon of globalization was accelerated forward a different orientation called new business or society paradigm. By implementing suitable policy companies having an opportunity to get wider market share, and economy of scale, network-ready servers, corporations could now have easier access to their partners and customers. Anyhow, corporations must do this more smartly and effectively than their competitors, and encourage to utilize new technology that give them that competitive edge. This brings on the demand and investment into infotech, so that it can support in achieving more profitability and efficiency. Policies of corporations will now have to be able to respond to threats and opportunities brought on by this smarter technology.

Investments in infotech, recently, are becoming an outstanding portfolio alternative. It will not create any competitive advantages for long run because of the fast change of innovation that infotech now goes on rapidly. However, this means that corporations must continuously invest and innovate in infotech in order to remain survive and more competitive.
