Now of course, the Millennium isn't until 2001...depending on how you look at it. But this is how I decided to spend the last day of the Century...New Years Eve, 1999
Now, where better to spend New Years Eve than in Miami Florida?
And what could be more fun than spending the last sunny day of the Century
on a 35 foot boat, cruising on the ocean and in the Biscayne Bay?
It was a great 70 degree day, with moderate wind. The ocean was
so calm; a perfect way to end a year!
Beautiful downtown Miami behind me.
Yes, I'm a bit happy here...and a tad tipsy! This is at the stroke
of midnight, January 1st, 2000!
Why do a champagne toast, when you have Vodka direct from Finland at
your disposal?
Miami had one of the longest fire works displays in the nation...but,
we missed them! We sat down to eat at 11:50PM, stopped at midnight
to snap some photo's, drink some Vodka and give everyone a hug...then by
12:01 AM, we were back to eating our rack of lamb.\
Here, Liz and I toast our pre-Vodka cocktails, about 1 hour before
midnight.
Here we stand, around 2 AM...me, Liz's fiancée, "The Dave",
and Liz...her brothers went to South Beach, but we opted for the quiet
evening at home.
