Troubleshooting Guide
There is a silly rumor that you cannot properly time a Dyna, but must "split the difference". This is incorrect. The left sensor triggers cylinders 3 and 4 and provides +/- 10deg of adjustment. The right sensor should not be moved. Time 1 and 2 by rotating the point base plate, and then losen and move the left sensor for any needed adjustment. The two units I have instaled needed no movement of the left sensor as it came out of the box.
Stephen Traver <[email protected]> says: "I know people have been looking for the timing cap sight glass for timing, and I found that it is now available again through the Honda dealer network. The part number is 07999-3710001, and costs about $18. They won't have it listed, but if they put that number in their computer, they'll find it for you."
