Stop worrying about what people are saying about you. Your hobby may be unusual and in bad taste, but it certainly isn't illegal (in most states, at least). Don't be upset if everyone at the PTA meeting comes up to you and pats you on the back consolingly. Don't eat anything your dog barks at. And, yes, it is your turn to clean your mother's cage this week.
