Thundergirl35 asks: Which do you feel is more challenging, performing live or filming a
show for television?
Yahoo_HANSON: I: Television is the hurry up and wait show, while live is very spontaneous, they
have many similar
Yahoo_HANSON: aspects but on very different ends of the spectrum.
Yahoo_HANSON: T: Between the live video and the live album almost all the songs were included
Yahoo_HANSON: So if you get both of them you get all different songs
Yahoo_HANSON: I: We were kind of bummed b/c there were songs we couldnt include
collectively, but dont worry
Yahoo_HANSON: T: You get all the songs
Yahoo_HANSON: Zac: The way we decided in video were the songs that had the best footage
Yahoo_HANSON: I: So that decided what was the best for us.

decide
Yahoo_HANSON: I'll list off a few that are our favorites... Soldier on 3 Car Garage, Yearbook on
Middle of Nowhere and Weird was very cool

Yahoo_HANSON: I: Since we've been on the road we haven't gotten a chance to watch all that
much television...

Yahoo_HANSON: It was fun to have the crew out with us, having water fights, enjoying being out

a party at our house.
Yahoo_HANSON: One of us was an 80 yr old sailor, one was the grim reaper

Just one though!
Yahoo_HANSON: I: We've gotten a lot of cool things from all over
Yahoo_HANSON: the web site. It's really unbelievable
Yahoo_HANSON: T: One way we deal with that is thru the fan club magazine MOE and you can
see that thru
zachary_isaac_taylor_hanson asks: out of all the celebritys that you have meet which one is
your favorite?
Yahoo_HANSON: T: Once again, a very hard question to answer. We've met a lot of
Yahoo_HANSON: actors, actresses and musicians
Yahoo_HANSON: We met Billy Joel.. I: Aerosmith... T: Blues Traveler I: Jewel.. Heather
Locklear... T: We
Yahoo_HANSON: were just on that show.. It's almost impossible to pick

you react to it?
Yahoo_HANSON: T: We dont remember the first time we were recognized, but when we were
making the xmas album
Yahoo_HANSON: on the outside of london, getting a piece of pizza and we thought we were
being followed
Yahoo_HANSON: during the day and it turned out it was a group of girls and they screamed out
Yahoo_HANSON: I: It was pretty funny, they screamed out and they ran after us and we ducked
into
Yahoo_HANSON: a car.. It was funny
_seemba_ asks: We love your music sooooooo much!! Did anything while you were on the
road inspire you to write a new songs for your next album?
Yahoo_HANSON: T: On the road, we wrote lots of new songs.. everything as always is an
inspiration for good
Yahoo_HANSON: and bad songs... It was an inspiration for us to be playing more music than in
our usual schedule
Yahoo_HANSON: I: It was also the chance to jam before the shows every night. It was a great
opportunity
PLABM asks: What goes through your mind when you see fans crying??
Yahoo_HANSON: T: Well the first thing we just want them to just stop crying, but it's great seeing
fans, we want to keep playing for them
Yahoo_HANSON: I: But the truth is, we're nothing to cry over

Yahoo_HANSON: T: We do go to some concerts, sometimes it's hard to go there, but we try to
go to as many as possible
Yahoo_HANSON: T: We just say Lenny Kravitz live in Houston.. I: It was a great show, anyone
who hasn't seen him live should
Yahoo_HANSON: go.. And we saw Blues Traveler in the HORDE Festival.

Yahoo_HANSON: Z: I guess you have to say Shakespeare, Henry David Thoreau.. I: His Civil
Disobedience was very cool... T: Ann Rand
Yahoo_HANSON: T: There are two brand new songs on the live album.. one is a song called
More than Anything and the other
Yahoo_HANSON: Is a song called Ever Lonely... Z: Those are older songs, no one's ever heard...
T: They will be newer to all the fans tho

Yahoo_HANSON: T: Just before the shw all your excitement and adrenalin gets going... once
you're on stage
Yahoo_HANSON: you're just enjoying it. That's all

Yahoo_HANSON: Z: It may not have been the favorite but it was pretty cool -- playing in Tulsa
Yahoo_HANSON: I: We played two shows in our hometown.. T: It was cool to have people,
friends and family see you play
Yahoo_HANSON: I: Plus playing a place that you went to concerts at... It's a very eerie
experience.. It's surreal
the_hitz asks: "Ever Lonely" sounds like more rock than pop. Are you guys trying to break
away from the so-called bubblegum pop, because I think "Ever Lonely" is your best song
yet!
Yahoo_HANSON: T: I wouldn't have ever put Hanson as bubblegum pop or any particular
category, but that's always been
Yahoo_HANSON: one of the rock-ier Hanson songs.. I: I think you'll see more songs on that
Rock/Pop kind of thing
Yahoo_HANSON: T: Hopefully we'll always be along that sort of thing
Yahoo_HANSON: Z: I would just say that red rocks was awesome.. we climbed thru some of the
rocks and got behind the stage
Yahoo_HANSON: I: It was definitely unique, there's no auditorium quite like it and the audience
was loud
belief2002 asks: How do you feel you have developed musically since MMMbop hit the
charts as #1?
Yahoo_HANSON: I: I think musically you're always looking for new things. . . always writing new
songs
Yahoo_HANSON: T: I dont think there's one thing, there's just the evolution.. Z: The music you
listen to changes your perspective on things

break?
Yahoo_HANSON: I: We try to just chill out sometimes and right now we're chilling out, just not
doing a whole lot

Yahoo_HANSON: T: It depends on what airline actually... and we won't go there.. and how long
the flight is.. If the flight
Yahoo_HANSON: is really long and you're really hungry...
iluvdanny_z asks: why did u base the live album on the seattle show?
Yahoo_HANSON: Z: Because originally it was a shorter tour and Seattle was the last date, and b/c
it was an indoor venue
Yahoo_HANSON: and that's the best place to record.. T: The tour extended longer and longer but
Seattle was supposed
Yahoo_HANSON: to be the last date.. It was a really fun venue too

Yahoo_HANSON: I: I would make faces at people that I knew and just do really weird stuff in
front of them and the fact
Yahoo_HANSON: that they couldn't see me would be really funny.. T: You'd do all the things that
you want to do but you can't b/c they can see you
Yahoo_HANSON: T: What would you do?

Yahoo_HANSON: T: Writing lyrics and melodies is in a package, the real question is what inspires
you to write songs and that's
Yahoo_HANSON: I: Life.. T: Yea, it's life
Hanson_Girl_123 asks: Hey guys! What's your new album going to be called and what will
be your first single?
Yahoo_HANSON: title when that comes... I: The title is the last thing
Yahoo_HANSON: Z: It's strange to be home when you're constantly going back and forth, but it's
fun to get back into daily life at home
Yahoo_HANSON: But it's also strange b/c you're used to being in different hotels and eating plane
food
Yahoo_HANSON: T: Gus is a really great director and really easy to work with so whenver you
have that
Yahoo_HANSON: combo it's a great thing... I: Gus really got what we wanted to do with the
video and he really made it
Yahoo_HANSON: possible.. with out his directing skills we wouldn't have been able to do what
we did..
Yahoo_HANSON: T: Also he's becom e a good friend thru that experience.
max_tracker asks: Do you pick out most of the clothes you wear or are they mostly chosen
for you?
Yahoo_HANSON: Z: We pick out all the clothes we wear.. T: No one picks out our clothes for
us.
debbie14o22 asks: If you could go on tour with anyone, who would it be?
Yahoo_HANSON: T: We haven't thought about touring with anybody, but that may be discovered
int he future.. One person we
Yahoo_HANSON: ran into on tour was Jonny Lang, so who knows what will happen in the future.
TaysJennyBaby asks: Will there be songs from various venues on the video?
Yahoo_HANSON: T: On the video the idea was to not make a video just about one show, but
about the tour, so you
Yahoo_HANSON: do see all the different venues.. Almost every show on the Albertane tour is in
the video.. although
Yahoo_HANSON: the sound was recorded in Seattle...
Yahoo_HANSON: I: I do a lot of different things, but it's merely a hobby. I like to goof off and do
things like that .. and entertain myself and friends
Yahoo_HANSON: T: Mostly himself...

Yahoo_HANSON: Z: Defnitely.. T: Chores are part of life, even when you're on the road they fall
in there somewhere
Yahoo_HANSON: so there are things you have to do throughout the day...
Yahoo_HANSON: I: Again The Road to Albertane , the video comes out tomorrow and Live from
Albertane comes out tomorrow
Yahoo_HANSON: It was very cool because on the album we got to work with Elliot Shiner who
got to work on
Yahoo_HANSON: The Eagles, Hell Freezes over and also Fleetwood Mac and we produced the
album
Krystal_Antunes asks: How many Drum sets does Zac have ?
Yahoo_HANSON: Z: Two... The one the hit the most, the one I hit the least and the one I hit sort
of sometime
Yahoo_HANSON: T: And then he sees a psychiatrist ;-)
Yahoo_HANSON: T: A lot of times the tour is connected with the album that's out, so since we
dont know what the songs that are going
Yahoo_HANSON: to be on that next album, we can't really say yet
Yahoo_HANSON: T: A group's not a group without fans, so that's always a good thing. It would
make it a lot harder if we didn't have any fans

Yahoo_HANSON: T: Nobody has a bedtime. We try to be in bed before dawn.

Yahoo_HANSON: Z: We've never heard of Lego scupture.. T: We do build a lot with Lego but
sculpture is usually clay... I: Or marble...

Yahoo_HANSON: T: Wickett stays at home most of the time.. We've taken her on a few trips.
LacieBrien asks: do you guys ever jam just for yourselves or is it always a job? Lacie

Yahoo_HANSON: I: Definitely just for ourselves, but sometimes you have to for the job.. Z: When
you're jamming it's not work, when
Yahoo_HANSON: you're practicing it's more on the work side.
rocketts007 asks: Zac, how much energy does it take to play the drumes
Yahoo_HANSON: you're practicing it's more on the work side.
Yahoo_HANSON: Z: About 4.4 milligrams of energy per second.. T: Just kidding.. By the end of
the show we're very tired most of the time
Yahoo_HANSON: Z: By the end of the show you're already in bed.. I: You sweat out about 1/3 of
your bodily fluids..
UNCAThing asks: Which of you guys pulled the most pranks during the tour?
Yahoo_HANSON:I: One time a member of the tour left early and we gathered everybody up
Yahoo_HANSON: with water balloons and guns and squirted her. T: She was very very wet.
cymbalom asks: To what extent were you guys involved in designing the stunning light show
and staging for your Albertaine tour?
Yahoo_HANSON: T: We had a really good litghting designer named Stan Crocker.. I: We worked
with him and Bruce Rogers on set design
Yahoo_HANSON: They were very creative and very much help.. T: Also the lighting director Eric
Dismuke (sp?)
ManFromMilaukee asks: Tay how do you manage to jump AND still hit the right notes on
the Keyboard??
Yahoo_HANSON: Z: He's not jumping, he's slamming his foot in the cement! T: Sometimes it's
complicated and I'm not really hitting
Yahoo_HANSON: theright notes, but that's what makes it live.. I just try to be as tired as the rest
of the audience is from jumping around
Yahoo_HANSON: I: But hopefully not as hoarse
candykat asks: How long did it take to actually record the new album?
Yahoo_HANSON: Z: The live album was one night, so the show is 1 hour and 45 minutes long.. so
an hour and 45 minutes
yadda_15 asks: I know how much you guy like History, and I just want to know...what is
your favorite time period?
Yahoo_HANSON: I: Right now we're studying great people of the 20th century, it's been very
interesting readin about those people
Yahoo_HANSON: Ghandi, MLK, Stalin, Lenin... T: Bad and good
ssand4177 asks: Do you guys still get to do stuff like any average kid?
Yahoo_HANSON: I: No we don't we live in a hole.. T: No we dont' we live in a van down by the
river! ;-)

what made you want to do a documentary on the Albertane Tour?
Yahoo_HANSON: T: Well, we were enjoy8ing it and wanted people o enjoy it as much as we
did.. and it was for people who couldn't come
Yahoo_HANSON: to the show.. so they could see wait was like.. I: And we had our video
cameras and wanted to document it
Yahoo_HANSON: and it was really interesting for us to be there in post production and seeit all
come together piece by piece

Yahoo_HANSON: T: If we do do a tour next summer it will probably be more extensive than the
Albertane tour we'll
Yahoo_HANSON: probably hit places like Australia and South America.. I: There are a lot of
places over seas in Europe and stuff
Yahoo_HANSON: but the tour will probably be late next summer or a little later than that.. we're
concentrating on the new album
Yahoo_HANSON: and relaxing right now

Yahoo_HANSON: T: In the video there's everything from on the bus, to backstage to on stage..
there's as much as possible
Yahoo_HANSON: There's a lot of concert footage as well..
Yahoo_HANSON: I: There's definitely behind the scenes stuff
Yahoo_HANSON: T: we never really discovered whether we do or dont.. I: We deal with that
everyday.. I hear Taylor sing in the showe
Yahoo_HANSON: and I question that every day... ;-D T: We sing everyday.. but we dont'
question ...

Yahoo_HANSON: Z: We do bring some cereal on stage.. not Lucky Charms.. ;-) Sorry.. We do
have lucky charms that we bring on
Yahoo_HANSON: the road with us.. the only things that go on stage are socks, shirt, and
instruments..
MOrEhanson asks: What was the coolest country that you have been to so far?
Yahoo_HANSON: T: I dont think there is one coolest country.. we've liked every different place..
Yahoo_HANSON: I: Each country has its own charm and you have to appreciate whats differnt
about each one
Yahoo_HANSON: Australia'svery cool, Japan's really neat.. England, France.. T: Home is pretty
great too

Yahoo_HANSON: T: When you cast a video there's usually a casting person you work with.. I:

last year? Or is the one from last year going to be re-aired?
Yahoo_HANSON: T: There's numerous things that will be happening.. Letterman, Rosie, Howie
Mandel -- I: Letterman on 11/9
Yahoo_HANSON: Rosie on the 10th and Howie Mandel on the 11th and other tv appearances
like that

Yahoo_HANSON: T: We get on the INternet quite a bit, not just surfing around, but use it.. We
check out fan sites, but we use
Yahoo_HANSON: it as a very cool tool..

Yahoo_HANSON: T: No it's not true.. I'm very right handed. I can't do anything with my left hand
except do monkey bars, eat and keyboards

Yahoo_HANSON: T: Once again, we said Lenny Kravitz earlier.. I: Jonny Lang's record is really
good, we recommend everyone
Yahoo_HANSON: goes out and gets it along with Live at Albertane...

Yahoo_HANSON: Z: Yeah we did a Space Ghost episode.. it was really fun.. I: It takes them a
long time to animate the show

looks like Tay is taller that Ike and Zac is catching up, is that true?
Yahoo_HANSON: T: Pretty soon we're all gonna b a straight line instead of a stair step. I'm not as
tall as Ike but Zac is catching up
Yahoo_HANSON: I think we'll all be lookin up to him soon

Yahoo_HANSON: T: If you get the hiccups you have to perform anyway.. It's like M-- hic --

Yahoo_HANSON: Z: A lot of our life a lot of people don't know about, but it's really interesting
when you learn about yourself
Yahoo_HANSON: thing you didn't even know... Rumors get spread alot.. Movies we're doing that
we're not really doning

Yahoo_HANSON: T: We do check out alot of webistes ... I: The fan fiction stuff is very creative..
when that first started we found
Yahoo_HANSON: a few sites and we were very entertained.. T: It's amazing, there are a lot of
cool sites out there
